CORSAIR not only offers the Carbide Series 100R in two different configurations, but also pursues two different strategies. While the regular variants offer basic equipment and should be as cheap as possible, the Silent Edition is positioned as a cheap silent model. This is all the more interesting because the manufacturers of silent housings can usually be paid well.
For little money, the Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition can actually offer the volume-sensitive user a lot. If hardware is installed that does not place great demands on the case cooling, the two case fans can be regulated extremely quietly with the three-stage fan controller. There are quite acceptable reserves in case more air flow is needed. The sound insulation mats on the front, lid and both side parts also contribute to a convincing Silent presentation. However, the missing hard disk decoupling should be considered. The Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition is best used with an SSD or, at most, particularly smooth-running hard drives.
In keeping with the subtle acoustics, the Corsair case is also visually unobtrusive. Faux-aluminum is certainly a matter of taste, but if you don't look too closely, you can definitely enjoy it. The front positioning of the I/O panel is also a matter of taste. It may bother some users for visual reasons, but it is always practical.
While the standard version of the Carbide Series 100R competes with a large number of entry-level models from other manufacturers, the Silent Edition at least has a little more room to maneuver. Comparable competing models are Cooltek's Antiphon and Antec's P100. Both are available at a similar price point, are designed for silent operation and are also visually unobtrusive. If you are looking for a quiet entry-level case, Corsair's Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition is a proven choice. Especially the combination of the built-in case fans and the three-stage fan control is convincing, because it allows a sufficiently fine adjustment of the cooling capacity and volume.
INTEL Core i5-12600KF, clock frequency @ 4.90GHz, socket 1700, codename Alder Lake-S, cores 10 (6+4), threads 16 (12+4), base clock 3.70GHz (P-Core), 2.80GHz (E- Core) turbo clock 4.90GHz (P-Core), 3.70GHz (E-Core), SMT yes (Intel Hyper-Threading), memory controller Dual Channel PC5-38400U (DDR5-4800), also supports PC4-25600U (DDR4-3200) , Free multiplier yes, CPU features GNA 3.0, Thread Director, DL Boost, Optane Memory Support, Speed Shift, Turbo Boost 2.0, Hyper-Threading, VT-x, VT-d, VT-x EPT, Intel 64, SSE4. 1, SSE4.2, AVX, AVX2, Idle States, EIST, Thermal Monitoring, VMD, AES-NI, Secure Key, OS Guard, XD Bit, Boot Guard, MBE, CET, Architecture Golden Cove + Gracemont (hybrid design) , L2 cache 9.5MB (6x 1.25MB + 4x 512kB), L3 cache 20MB, chipset interface DMI 4.0, 16GT/s (PCIe 4.0 x8), PCIe lanes 16x PCIe 5.0, 4x PCIe 4.0, memory max. 128GB , memory bandwidth 76.8GB/s.
Like the Core i9 12900K, the Core i5 12600K relies on the new Socket 1700 with support for DDR5 RAM and PCI Express 5.0. In this case, too, the greatest special feature is the mixture of fast and slow cores, called P cores and E cores or performance cores and efficiency cores. Intel's basic idea makes sense: If the PC only has to take on less demanding tasks, the frugal efficiency cores are used. On the other hand, when it comes to more demanding work such as gaming, the performance cores provide enough power.
This also means a higher core count. The Core i5 12600K has a total of 10 cores, while the predecessor 11600K only has six of them. In this comparison, however, you always have to keep in mind that four of the ten cores of the 12600K are just a little less fast than the six P cores. It is easily possible to achieve very similar performance with the Core i5 12600K as with the Core i9 12900K or the Ryzen 9 5900X. So if you really mainly play with your PC and accordingly do not (yet) need the additional cores of expensive models, the Core i5 12600K can be a good choice. The Intel Core i5-12600K performs well all round in the test and proves to be an excellent PC core for both everyday work and gaming.

The graphics cards from the RTX 3060 Ti series are aimed at everyone who plays in Full HD with all options to the limit, uses ray tracing functions and does not want to pay too much.
The most exciting question is the performance of the KFA2 RTX 3060 Ti and the entire family. And here we experienced an enormous surprise: The card can easily keep up with an RTX 2080 Super, one of the fastest graphics cards of the previous generation. What is particularly impressive is that the RTX 3060 Ti is much cheaper.
The benchmarks are not only good in generic tests, they also continue in games. In addition to the pure performance, the card can fall back on numerous features of Nvidia. In addition to shadow play, which can now be used to automatically record cool actions in many games, this includes DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). If the game in question is supported, the GPU can use AI technology to keep the number of frames as high as possible despite the high resolution and realistic light calculation via ray tracing. This works now with more and more titles and helps with the decision between frames and appearance. You notice DLSS especially at higher resolutions, such as 1440p or UHD. If DLSS works properly and is supported by the game, it's a game changer that everyone should try.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, pre-installed with all necessary device drivers. Switch on and get started!
The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:
"We want to ensure that we offer developers the largest and most vibrant user base for their applications," said Satya Nadella in his opening keynote at BUILD 2015 in San Francisco. Windows 10 is now available in 190 countries and 111 languages.
The browser is really new in Windows 10: Edge replaces Internet Explorer. The new browser doesn't just have the cooler name. It is also much faster. In almost all browser benchmarks, Edge depends on IE 11 from Windows 8.1. It can almost double its pace in Mozilla's Kraken benchmark. It looks the same in Google's Octane 2.0 test. Its pace remains roughly the same in the Sunspider test and the Peacekeeper benchmark. Conclusion: When it comes to the browser speed, Windows 10 with Edge catches up a lot. In Kraken and Octane, Edge overtakes the competition, in the Sunspider he stays ahead. The old conditions are only preserved in the Peacekeeper test.
Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).
Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
