All new AMD CPUs of the 2nd Genaration have significantly higher clock rates compared to their respective predecessors with the same or only a slightly raised EIA. The biggest premium AMD approved the top model, here are 500 MHz more possible. Unlike the Raven Ridge APUs, all four Pinnacle Ridge CPUs, like the Summit Ridge predecessor, rely on a soldered heatspreader. This should keep Ryzen 5 2600 and Ryzen 7 2700 around ten degrees cooler than if only thermal paste between die and heatspreader would be appropriate as in Raven Ridge or Intel's Core i series.
On average over the tested applications, which benefit from many cores and threads with two exceptions (JetStream and VeraCrypt), the new top model Ryzen 7 2700X conquers the top position. Most recently, the Ryzen 7 1800X had to share this place with the Core i7-8700K. The lead on the last fastest model and its competitors is nine percent.
Below that, all new CPUs will eventually go one step higher: the Ryzen 5 2600 is even slightly faster than the Ryzen 5 1600X, and the same applies to the comparison between Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 7 1700.
The improvements of the Ryzen 2000 series in terms of more clock and lower latencies beat in games full. Already the Ryzen 5 2600 has an average of five percent higher frame rate than the Ryzen 7 1800X - the smallest Ryzen 2000 is faster than the biggest Ryzen 1800X.
The performance gains achieved by AMD with Ryzen 2000 are particularly impressive in games: if even the slowest new model hits the fastest old one, then something has really changed. The main reason for the big performance gain in games is the promised improvement in memory latencies within the CPU and memory.

Enermax positioned themselves as a big player in AIO systems for CPU cooling so the performance and easy of use is pretty much expected with their products and the Enermax Liqmax II 120 is not an exception. From our experience with the first generation of Liqmax we are very pleased with the performance we got from the Liqmax II 120 at idle and fully loaded state of our test-machines. On idle, our test bench was whisper quiet. Under full load the system stayed relatively quiet as well. The Batwing design of the fan blades did a great job of pushing the cooling air through the radiator at a relatively low RPM (2000).

Like all RTX 2060 cards, the KFA2 is based on the TU106 chip, more specifically TU106-200A-KA-A1. It has 1920 Cuda cores, 120 TMUs and 48 ROPs. The base clock of the RTX 2060 is at a moderate 1.365 MHz and the boost at 1725 MHz, if you activate in Windows using the Xtreme Tuner Plus Tool 1-Click-OC clock.
For overclocking the KFA2 GeForce RTX 2060 1-Click-OC we use the Xtreme Tuner Plus Tool from KFA2. For the RTX20 graphics cards that offer 1-Click OC function, you always have to use the tool for the Taktplus. For the RTX 2060, the 1-Click OC adds 45 MHz to 1,725 MHz. When manual overclocking, the power target can not be changed and you are forced to work with 100%. The stable GPU clock has settled at 115 MHz. Starting from a boost clock of 1725 MHz, we landed at 1825 MHz. This corresponds to approx. 6.0% growth. The maximum boost measured with GPU-Z was 1,950 MHz.
We also overclocked the Samsung GDDR6 memory. This again proved to be not overclockable compared to chips from Micron, which we found on the KFA2 GeForce RTX 2070 OC. The stable offset was 735 MHz. The graphics memory clocks by default with 1,750 MHz, respectively 7,000 MHz. Thereafter, the GDDR6 clock was 2.066 and 8.264 MHz, respectively. In percent, we have a clock increase of just over 18%.
In the games, the GeForce RTX 2060 has also placed well and takes it easy with the GTX 1070, even if it has 2 GB more memory. To beat the GTX 1080, it takes more time. After overclocking, however, the RTX 2060 delivers more power than the GTX 1080, which is amazing.
In terms of performance was the KFA2 GeForce RTX 2060 1-Click OC best side. In the benchmarks, they left the GTX 1070 behind in most cases, after overclocking they could even keep up with the GTX 1080 loosely. The 1-Click-OC feature increases the clock by 45 MHz. Really noticeable was the performance boost after overclocking the card manually. 100 MHz higher GPU clock and 735 MHz higher memory clock showed a really good effect.
The built-in custom cooler with two copper heatpipes in conjunction with the two 90 mm fans is exemplary. Under normal GPU load, the fans usually do not start and are therefore inaudible. When playing the fan control here is a wonderful and the card is very quiet.

This new Windows, available as a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 noncorporate users, is built from the ground up to pursue Microsoft's vision of a unified OS that spans all devices without alienating any one platform. It's an attempt to safeguard Microsoft's crumbling software hegemony, assailed on all sides by Google and Apple. And it's a vision of the future as Microsoft sees it, where a single user experience spans every piece of technology we touch. Welcome to Windows as a service.
Yes, this new OS is chock-full of fresh features. To name just a few: a lean, fast Internet Explorer replacement called Edge; Microsoft's Siri-like voice-controlled virtual assistant, Cortana; and the ability to stream real-time games to your desktop from an Xbox One in another room. (And in case you're wondering: there is no "Windows 9" -- Microsoft skipped it, going straight from 8 to 10.)
But Windows 10 is also the end of a long, awkward road that began with the release of Windows 8 in 2012, when Microsoft tried to convince a world of keyboard and mouse wielders that touchscreens were the way to go -- or else. Ironically, in 2015, the PC hardware for that touchscreen future is now here -- everything from 2-in-1s such as the Lenovo Yoga line to convertible tablets with detachable keyboards, like Microsoft's own Surface. And Windows 10 smoothly lets users transition from "tablet" to "PC" mode on such devices like never before.
For the rest of the PC universe -- including those who still prefer good old-fashioned keyboard and mouse navigation -- Windows 10 is a welcome return to form. The Start menu, inexplicably yanked from 8, is back and working the way you expect it to. Those live tiles from the Windows 8 home screen still exist, but they've been attached to the Start menu, where they make a lot more sense. And the fiendishly hidden Charms bar has been morphed into the more straightforward (and easier to find) Action Center.
As always, there are some quibbles and gripes with the end product, but all-in-all -- after living with Windows 10 for months -- I can say it's a winner. It's flexible, adaptable and customizable. And it's been battle-tested by an army of beta testers for the better part of a year, making it one of the most robust operating system rollouts in recent memory.
A fresh Start
The Start menu is back; it's almost funny how relieving that is. That humble Start button has been a fixture on the lower left corner of the Windows desktop since the halcyon days of Windows 95, offering speedy access to apps and settings. Press it on Windows 10, and you'll see the latest step in a long conversation about the state of the PC industry.
The past sits on the left: a neat column with shortcuts to your most used apps. Press the "All Apps" button and you'll get an alphabetical list of all of the apps installed on your PC. There are folders in there too -- press them, and extra options will fly out, just like they always have.
The future -- or at least, the future as Microsoft envisions it -- sits on the right side of the Start menu. These are the colorful, animated live tiles that debuted in Windows 8, pulling double duty as app shortcuts and informative widgets. You can resize these live tiles, drag them about to arrange them into groups and pin as many apps as you'd like -- the entire Start menu can be shrunk or expanded to suit your liking. It's essentially a miniaturized version of the fullscreen Start menu we saw in Windows 8. Hate live tiles? Then unpin them to excise them from your computer, leaving you with the narrow column of frequently used apps we've known for so long.
