AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4.80GHz, Socket AM4, code name Vermeer, TDP 105W, cores 12, threads 24, base clock 3.70GHz, turbo clock 4.80GHz, memory controller Dual Channel PC4-25600U (DDR4-3200), free multiplier yes, CPU- Functions VT-Vi, X86-64, AMD-V, AVX, AVX2, AES (2x FMA), NX-Bit, EVP, Architecture Zen 3, production 7nm (CPU, TSMC), 12nm (I / O, GlobalFoundries), L2 cache 6MB (12x 512kB), L3 cache 64MB (2x 32MB), chipset interface PCIe 4.0 x4, PCIe lanes 24x PCIe 4.0 (16 + 4 + 4), memory bandwidth 51.2GB / s.
19 percent more performance per cycle, an average of 26 percent more 3D performance and up to 24 percent more efficiency. AMD wants to make Intel look old. Thanks to the extensively improved Zen 3 architecture, multi and single threading performance should increase by 20 percent and more, while the core counts of 16, 12, 8 and 6 remain the same.
At a higher level, a CPU cluster (CCX) now consists of eight instead of four CPU cores. A single core can thus access a full 32 MByte level 3 cache in single-threading applications; In addition, the communication effort is reduced if an application uses more than four cores. 3D games also benefit from this.
On average, the performance per cycle (Instructions per Cycle, IPC) should increase by 19 percent - more than when switching from Zen + to Zen 2 (+ 15 percent). In games, AMD mentions an average increase of 26 percent. While Intel's Core-i-10000 processors were usually a bit faster than AMD's Ryzen 3000 in gaming, AMD wants to deliver the best player CPUs with the successors. Only in the rarest cases should the 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X deliver fewer frames per second than Intel's fastest gaming processor, the Core i9-10900K, such as Battlefield 5. In the esports games League of Legends (LoL) and Counter- Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), which used to do particularly well to Intel, AMD wants to outpace the competition.

With the GeForce RTX 3080, Nvidia wants to reach enthusiasts who do not necessarily have to have the fastest model with the largest possible memory capacity, but who value speed and graphics quality.
The GeForce RTX 3080 is the first player graphics card with the new amp architecture. The graphics card is based on the GA102 GPU and therefore the largest chip in Nvidia's portfolio. This means that the second fastest model also uses the largest GPU for the first time in a long time - the GTX 1080 and RTX 2080 only had the second largest expansion stage.
The GeForce RTX 3080 makes a huge leap in performance compared to the old Turing generation. The average frame rate of 3,840 × 2,160 increases by a whopping 60 percent compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 Super and the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is also left behind by 31 percent in comparison. Even a heavily overclocked GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has no chance and has to admit defeat by 15 percent - especially since not every GeForce RTX 2080 Ti achieves such OC values.
If you are looking for a graphics card for Ultra HD or for high frame rates, the GeForce RTX 3080 is the right choice. The new graphics card is 60 percent faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Super in classic rasterizer titles and is even 31 percent faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. There is no game on the test course that does not run smoothly in Ultra HD with maximum graphics details. And often more than 60 FPS are possible.
If you compare the power loss with activated ray tracing of Ampere and Turing, you will find that the GeForce RTX 3080 loses slightly less FPS than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. The motto here is: the more ray tracing is used, the more amperes are separated. The difference is smaller than the advantages promised in isolation with the RT cores would have led one to hope, but in combination with the significantly higher raw performance, ray tracing runs noticeably better than before.
The GeForce RTX 3080 is fast enough for full ray tracing details in WQHD, whoever switches on the DLSS, which is visibly matured in version 2.0, can also use ray tracing smoothly in Ultra HD.

SAMSUNG SSD PM9A1 512GB, M.2, design Solid State Module (SSM), form factor M.2 2280, interface M.2 / M-Key (PCIe 4.0 x4), read 6900MB / s
Write 5000MB / s SLC-Cached, IOPS 4K read / write 800k / 800k, memory modules 3D-NAND TLC, Samsung, 136 layers (V-NAND v6), reliability prognosis 1.5 million hours (MTBF), controller Samsung Elpis (S4LV003) , 8 channels, cache 512MB (LPDDR4), SLC cache, protocol NVMe 1.3c, data protection functions 256bit AES, TCG Opal 2.0, power consumption 0.035W (idle), 0.005W (sleep mode), special features L1.2 low power standby.
The Samsung OEM SSD PM9A1 is made entirely of semiconductor components and uses NAND flash memory, which has high reliability and advanced technology in a small form factor. Thanks to the support of the Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) 4.0 interface standard, performance is much faster than that of SATA SSDs. A comparison of the speed makes it clear that the PM9A1 version is definitely ahead. In contrast to the 6,000 MB / s, the two previous models only offered 3,500 MB / s. This is no wonder. After all, both OEMs were equipped with PCIe 3.0 and not the latest PCIe 4.0 standard.
The Samsung PM9A1 is an M.2 SSD with PCIe 4.0 and practically the OEM counterpart to the 980 Pro.
TOSHIBA P300 Desktop PC 4TB, SATA 6Gb / s, form factor 3.5 ", speed 5400rpm, cache 128MB, power consumption 4.11W (operation), 2.32W (idle), volume 24dB (A) (operation), 22dB (A) (idle) Recording method Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR), Drive Managed SMR sectors 4KB with emulation (512e).
As an HDD, the Toshiba P300 can of course not keep up with the performance of an SSD, but at least it costs only a fraction of correspondingly large SSDs such as the Samsung 960 Pro. In comparison with its HDD counterparts, the transfer rates of the P300 are still good. The hard drive achieved a read rate of 198 MB / s in the test. The same can be said about the writing speed of the P300. In the test, our test files are written to the large memory at a rate of 195 Mbyte / s - the access time is a good 6.88 milliseconds. At least among the 4TB models, we have measured the best results with the P300 so far.
With a great price-performance ratio, the Toshiba P300 with a capacity of four terabytes is aimed at PC users with large amounts of data and a tight budget. Despite the low price, the hard drive does well in the test and can convince with transfer rates of almost 200 MB per second.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, pre-installed with all necessary device drivers. Switch on and get started!
The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:
"We want to ensure that we offer developers the largest and most vibrant user base for their applications," said Satya Nadella in his opening keynote at BUILD 2015 in San Francisco. Windows 10 is now available in 190 countries and 111 languages.
The browser is really new in Windows 10: Edge replaces Internet Explorer. The new browser doesn't just have the cooler name. It is also much faster. In almost all browser benchmarks, Edge depends on IE 11 from Windows 8.1. It can almost double its pace in Mozilla's Kraken benchmark. It looks the same in Google's Octane 2.0 test. Its pace remains roughly the same in the Sunspider test and the Peacekeeper benchmark. Conclusion: When it comes to the browser speed, Windows 10 with Edge catches up a lot. In Kraken and Octane, Edge overtakes the competition, in the Sunspider he stays ahead. The old conditions are only preserved in the Peacekeeper test.
Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).
Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
