AMD Ryzen 7 3700X @ 4.40GHz, Socket AM4, codename Matisse, cores 8, threads 16, base clock 3.60GHz, Turbo clock 4.40GHz, memory controller Dual Channel PC4-25600U (DDR4-3200), CPU features ECC support, Turbo Core 3.0, Precision Boost 2, Precision Boost Overdrive, SMT, VT-Vi, X86-64, AMD-V, AVX, AVX2, AES (2x FMA), NX-Bit, EVP, PCIe 4.0 (X570 only), multiplier selectable , L2 cache 4MB (8x 512kB), L3 cache 32MB (2x 16MB), PCIe lanes 24x PCIe 4.0 (16 + 4 + 4), memory max. 128GB, memory bandwidth 51.2GB / s.
Thanks in part to a significantly redesigned Zen 2 architecture and 7-nm manufacturing, AMD's competitor intends to put further pressure on Intel in terms of both performance and energy efficiency. AMD has also worked hard on the architecture under the hood, for example in the form of a doubled L3 cache (called a "game cache"). According to AMD, this reduces the memory latency, which can lead to better performance in games.
In our gaming benchmarks, AMD Intel is getting a lot closer with the new Ryzen 3000 CPUs. Compared to the previous flagship in the form of the 2700X (about 4.0 GHz under game load), the Ryzen 7 3700X with the same number of cores has a plus of almost seven percent. A certain advantage for Intel remains: the Core i9 9900K with eight cores is about eight percent faster than the 3900X and eleven percent faster than the 3700X.
When it comes to simultaneously playing and streaming to twitch per CPU on a single computer, AMD has always been good with the Ryzen CPUs, thanks to a relatively high core and thread count - albeit at the expense of the performance in the game itself tested Ryzen-3700X gives even an even better picture: it not only manages the processor without problems, a stream in Full HD with 60 fps to represent without image loss, but also the fps loss in the game itself falls pleasingly low. This is particularly clear in the comparison between the Ryzen 7 2700X and the Ryzen 7 3700X: While the fps in the game with the 2700X when streaming in 1920x1080 still drops clearly by 43.9 percent, the 3700X has only 13.2 percent fewer pictures per second - a very good result.
AMD Wraith CPU cooler. We've gone one better with a brand-new premium line of AMD Wraith Coolers for the AM4 platform and the advanced Ryzen processor. From the shallow Wraith Stealth to the high-end Wraith Prism, every Wraith Cooler offers virtually silent operation and excellent cooling performance. Plus, every 2nd and 3rd generation Ryzen 7 and 9 desktop processor features an AMD Wraith Cooler with color-configurable LED lighting, which makes your PC not only powerful, but also looks great. RGB colour control is available when using a compatible motherboard such as ASRock RGB LED, ASUS Aura sync, Biostar VIVID LED DJ, Gigabyte RGB Fusion or MSI Mystic Hell. Note: Not every AMD Wraith Cooler is equipped with user-controlled RGB lighting.
While Tower coolers create a stream of air parallel to the motherboard, which starts a few inches above it, Top Down blows directly onto the motherboard, where the air then spreads in all directions. Since modern mainboards do not require active cooling and case fans are usually mounted higher, this is the only airflow that can cool onboard components in the CPU environment - and tower coolers eliminate this effect, according to popular opinion.
Critical components are clearly the CPU voltage converter on the motherboard. These circuits reduce the 12 volts coming from the power supply to the desired supply voltage of the processor and, like all electrical components, operate with limited efficiency. Accurate measurements are very expensive, but typically there is a 15 to 30 percent greater current flow to the transducers than they are to the CPU - the rest is converted to heat at the voltage transformers.
The AMD Wraith Prism is the ultimate cooling solution from AMD for processors with air cooling. The Wraith Prism offers more than any cooling solution before: an RGB LED control around the light ring, transparent fan blades and colour control with dynamic rainbow effects. But the Wraith Prism is not only outwardly appealing. It also increased motherboard and RAM compatibility.

There are plenty of premium X470 boards out there if you need some of the additional testing and overclocking tools or features such as Wi-Fi, but if you just want to get up and running quickly for as little cash as possible, then some of the cheaper X470 boards such as the MSI X470 Gaming Plus are definitely worth a look.
You're getting many of the basics - eight-channel audio with an optical output, decent-size VRM heatsinks, RGB LED headers, and enough fan headers to power up to six fans including one dedicated for AIO liquid-cooler pumps. It's fairly low-key as far as lighting and aesthetics go, and unlike its more expensive siblings there's no I/O port cover either.
Surprisingly, though, MSI has managed to cram in an 11-phase power design, and there's even a CMOS clear switch at the base of the board, which is arguably one of the more useful overclocking and testing tools, especially if you're pushing the limits of memory speed and overclocking on AMD motherboards.
For the most part there's not much difference between AMD boards these days, and most of our benchmarks are evidence of that. HandBrake, PCMark 10, and Cinebench all have next to no performance difference between the handful of X470 boards we've tested so far, and the same was true in our game tests and indeed the storage tests too.
Bashing a cheap motherboard for lacking features or not being particularly attractive is usually a pointless exercise, as what most people in this price range are concerned with are stability and ease of use, and here the X470 Gaming Plus performs well and also overclocked to the same levels as much more expensive boards.

MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT 8G, 8GB GDDR6, 1x HDMI 2.0b ports, 3x DisplayPort 1.4, Chip Navi 10 PRO "AMD RDNA 1.0", chip clock 1605MHz, Boost: 1905MHz, Memory 8GB GDDR6, 1750MHz, 256bit, 448GB / s, shader Units / TMUs / ROPs 2304/144/64, Cooling 1x Radial Fan (80mm), Reference Design, Highlights H.265 encode / decode, VP9 encode / decode, AMD FreeSync, AMD TrueAudio Next, AMD Eyefinity, HDCP 2.2, Interface PCIe 4.0 x16, 9754GFLOPS (Single), 610GFLOPS (Double), DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 2.0, Vulkan 1.1.101, Shader Model 6.4.
As you can see from the modified naming scheme, it is not a vile addition to the portfolio, as was the case with the Radeon RX 590, but something new. Navi 10, the exact name of the new AMD chip, has some changes to the GPU's internal design, which is why AMD is talking about a new architecture. The pillars Navis are diverse. The chip is not just shrunk to 7nm in structure width, but also includes a conversion of the shader core and support for new standards. HDMI 2.1 is expressly not meant, AMD donated Navi only support for HDMI 2.0b. For the first time, the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT can handle the PCI Express 4 protocol and thus deliver twice the transfer rate of the long-established PCI Express 3.0. The necessary infrastructure also comes from the house of AMD, without X570 motherboard and Ryzen-3000 processor work Navi GPUs in PCIe-3 mode.
Smart, fast and groundbreaking for AMD, these are the Radeon RX 5700 as well as the Radeon RX 5700 XT. It is hard not to fall into the slightest euphoria in the face of the performance. While AMD never climbs new levels of performance with the Navi-10 chip, its efficiency is impressive.
If you think about Navi and Turing per measure and unit, Nvidia is still in the lead, although it is unclear whether this would be the case without the additional INT32 ALUs within the Turing Shader Core. Nvidia has a powerful architecture in all performance classes with Turing and just added "super" variants.
In terms of price, the Radeon RX 5700 XT competes exactly with the RTX 2060 Super; This duel wins AMD in most benchmarks, while Nvidia scores higher energy efficiency and a softer reference design. The Radeon RX 5700 XT is just ahead of Nvidia's Geforce RTX 2070 Founders Edition. The Radeon RX 5700 beats the chosen destination, Nvidia's RTX 2060, with flying colors. The RTX 2060 Super sees the Radeon RX 5700 in total no land, but costs less. It looks similar when comparing the RX 5700 XT to the RTX 2070 Super, again, the Nvidia model is clearly faster, but also much more expensive.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, Full Version!
Windows 10 is the Goldilocks version of Microsoft's venerable PC operating system -- a "just right" compromise between the familiar dependability of Windows 7, and the forward-looking touchscreen vision of Windows 8.
This new Windows, available as a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 noncorporate users, is built from the ground up to pursue Microsoft's vision of a unified OS that spans all devices without alienating any one platform. It's an attempt to safeguard Microsoft's crumbling software hegemony, assailed on all sides by Google and Apple. And it's a vision of the future as Microsoft sees it, where a single user experience spans every piece of technology we touch. Welcome to Windows as a service.
Yes, this new OS is chock-full of fresh features. To name just a few: a lean, fast Internet Explorer replacement called Edge; Microsoft's Siri-like voice-controlled virtual assistant, Cortana; and the ability to stream real-time games to your desktop from an Xbox One in another room. (And in case you're wondering: there is no "Windows 9" -- Microsoft skipped it, going straight from 8 to 10.)
But Windows 10 is also the end of a long, awkward road that began with the release of Windows 8 in 2012, when Microsoft tried to convince a world of keyboard and mouse wielders that touchscreens were the way to go -- or else. Ironically, in 2015, the PC hardware for that touchscreen future is now here -- everything from 2-in-1s such as the Lenovo Yoga line to convertible tablets with detachable keyboards, like Microsoft's own Surface. And Windows 10 smoothly lets users transition from "tablet" to "PC" mode on such devices like never before.
For the rest of the PC universe -- including those who still prefer good old-fashioned keyboard and mouse navigation -- Windows 10 is a welcome return to form. The Start menu, inexplicably yanked from 8, is back and working the way you expect it to. Those live tiles from the Windows 8 home screen still exist, but they've been attached to the Start menu, where they make a lot more sense. And the fiendishly hidden Charms bar has been morphed into the more straightforward (and easier to find) Action Center.
As always, there are some quibbles and gripes with the end product, but all-in-all -- after living with Windows 10 for months -- I can say it's a winner. It's flexible, adaptable and customizable. And it's been battle-tested by an army of beta testers for the better part of a year, making it one of the most robust operating system rollouts in recent memory.
A fresh Start
The Start menu is back; it's almost funny how relieving that is. That humble Start button has been a fixture on the lower left corner of the Windows desktop since the halcyon days of Windows 95, offering speedy access to apps and settings. Press it on Windows 10, and you'll see the latest step in a long conversation about the state of the PC industry.
The past sits on the left: a neat column with shortcuts to your most used apps. Press the "All Apps" button and you'll get an alphabetical list of all of the apps installed on your PC. There are folders in there too -- press them, and extra options will fly out, just like they always have.
The future -- or at least, the future as Microsoft envisions it -- sits on the right side of the Start menu. These are the colorful, animated live tiles that debuted in Windows 8, pulling double duty as app shortcuts and informative widgets. You can resize these live tiles, drag them about to arrange them into groups and pin as many apps as you'd like -- the entire Start menu can be shrunk or expanded to suit your liking. It's essentially a miniaturized version of the fullscreen Start menu we saw in Windows 8. Hate live tiles? Then unpin them to excise them from your computer, leaving you with the narrow column of frequently used apps we've known for so long.
