The In Win GR One is a full tower PC case made from a combination of 0.8mm SECC steel and some hard plastic. It’s basically geared towards hardcore gamers, or system builders who are looking for a case with lots of options, expansions and support for water cooling.
It supports up to 10x 120mm fans or 140mm fans that could provide excellent thermal performance. It can also support a 360mm radiator on top and another 240mm radiator on the bottom of the case. There are water cooling holes available for custom water cooling, but I rarely see system builders use these holes nowadays.
The In Win GRone also features a two fan speed control, one-touch front bezel filter, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on the front panel and an external SATA EZ-Swap Dock located on top where you can slide a hard drive or SSD in for easy data access. It also supports full size graphics cards of up to 365mm and has a total of 8x PCIE-slots. It can also support large CPU cooler heatsink of up to 206mm in height.
It has a very similar layout like most cases in the market. There are four thumbscrews (two on each side panel) that you have to unscrew to remove the side panels. The side panels are pretty much solid, but they do flex a little bit due to its size. As you can also see from the photos above, there are rubber grommets to protect the cables from being peeled.
There are a total of 8 drive bays for your hard drives and three more for the front bay expansion slots. The drive bays and expansion slot bays are all tool free, although we find the yellow-green color of the push button locking mechanism somewhat off. We think it would look better if they were red instead.
The front mesh cover can easily be removed without removing the whole front cover. The first three covers from top are for the front bay slots and can be removed individually. While the other lower 5 layers is actually a one whole meshed cover. Just push somewhere in the upper mid-section to unclip and remove it.
The drive cages are divided into two sections and can be removed easily. It also uses a tool-less drive mount mechanism. There are also holes on each tray so that you can screw a 2.5-inch drive. You can remove just the lower section if you plan to install a 240mm radiator on the bottom portion.
There are many things to like about the GRone full tower case. We like the nice power button with a red LED circle on it. It has 5x 140mm pre-installed fans, and the three of them have red LEDs. It fully supports water cooling system and the external hot swap bay could be useful from time to time. The stylish tinted window looks really cool as well and it’s large enough to see all the major components installed inside the case. Air flow is really great as well, as I can feel the heat being properly exhausted at the back and on top of the case. They have also done a really good paint job as well. And amongst the GRone variants, this is the variant that we like most.
Finally, the In Win GRone is one awesome full tower case and if you like the way how it looks then we don’t have any problems recommending the GR One at all. It’s a well-built chassis with lots of room to work with and options for the components.

Twenty months after the launch of the first AMD Ryzen 1000 eight-core processors in the mid-range and thus the number 1 platform for private customers, Intel is catching up: Eight cores for the LGA 1151 socket are now also available from the market leader.
The first two processors of this type hear the name Intel Core i9-9900K and Intel Core i7-9700K and ring in the beginning of the ninth generation of cores at Intel - which is based in the heart, however, still on the sixth generation. Also, Coffee Lake Refresh will continue to be manufactured in Intel's own factories in 14nm ++, the same level of 14nm manufacturing as its predecessor.

With the new Coffee Lake-S Refresh, a new generation of motherboards is also appearing, which now manifests itself in the form of the Z390 chipset. The Z390 is the new top chipset for Intel's Socket 1151 mainstream platform and will complement the Z370, and unlike the leap from Z270 to Z370, compatibility with old CPUs of the 8th core generation (Coffee Lake-S) remains. The board uses the Z390 standard equipment and waives largely on additional chips if they are not necessary. Probably the most significant changes to the new generation have less with the chipset itself so with the quite changed since the Z370 "philosophy". It was not too many years ago that the idea of a 1TB drive was almost mind-boggling. However, with the continued explosion of digital data, including large-file-size games that support hi-resolution and/or 3D graphics, HD movies, HD music (and more), the need to store that data now makes a 1TB HDD not seem all that large. Also, enterprise storage systems are experiencing similar (if not even greater) growth, so more storage capacity with fewer drives is always going to be an attractive option. Hence, the market is definitely there for ever-larger capacity HDDs.
Toshiba’s DT01ACA300 HDD is a consistent performer. In our testing, it attained over 190MB/s sequential reads and writes for all transfer sizes of 16KB and larger, being under 190MB/s for only the smallest 1/3 of the transfer sizes. This demonstrates a high level of consistent performance. Our testing gave us a total score that was 20% higher than other similar drives. Our PCMark Vantage HDD suite testing gave us a total score that was 10% higher than other similar drives. In our HD Tune Pro testing, we even saw burst speeds of nearly 418MB/s, this is flash storage territory.
Toshiba’ DT01ACA300 HDD is a top-performing mechanical drive. We saw a number of benchmark results that best any of the 3TB mechanical HDDs that we have previously tested. Note that in the PCMark Vantage testing, this HDD excelled with both Windows Media Center and Windows Photo Gallery – in other words, content creation. Although this drive is marketed as a client HDD, we are seeing performance that should also appeal to media professionals and other content creators, and 3TB of capacity in a single drive to boot.

This new Windows, available as a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 noncorporate users, is built from the ground up to pursue Microsoft's vision of a unified OS that spans all devices without alienating any one platform. It's an attempt to safeguard Microsoft's crumbling software hegemony, assailed on all sides by Google and Apple. And it's a vision of the future as Microsoft sees it, where a single user experience spans every piece of technology we touch. Welcome to Windows as a service.
Yes, this new OS is chock-full of fresh features. To name just a few: a lean, fast Internet Explorer replacement called Edge; Microsoft's Siri-like voice-controlled virtual assistant, Cortana; and the ability to stream real-time games to your desktop from an Xbox One in another room. (And in case you're wondering: there is no "Windows 9" -- Microsoft skipped it, going straight from 8 to 10.)
But Windows 10 is also the end of a long, awkward road that began with the release of Windows 8 in 2012, when Microsoft tried to convince a world of keyboard and mouse wielders that touchscreens were the way to go -- or else. Ironically, in 2015, the PC hardware for that touchscreen future is now here -- everything from 2-in-1s such as the Lenovo Yoga line to convertible tablets with detachable keyboards, like Microsoft's own Surface. And Windows 10 smoothly lets users transition from "tablet" to "PC" mode on such devices like never before.
For the rest of the PC universe -- including those who still prefer good old-fashioned keyboard and mouse navigation -- Windows 10 is a welcome return to form. The Start menu, inexplicably yanked from 8, is back and working the way you expect it to. Those live tiles from the Windows 8 home screen still exist, but they've been attached to the Start menu, where they make a lot more sense. And the fiendishly hidden Charms bar has been morphed into the more straightforward (and easier to find) Action Center.
As always, there are some quibbles and gripes with the end product, but all-in-all -- after living with Windows 10 for months -- I can say it's a winner. It's flexible, adaptable and customizable. And it's been battle-tested by an army of beta testers for the better part of a year, making it one of the most robust operating system rollouts in recent memory.
A fresh Start
The Start menu is back; it's almost funny how relieving that is. That humble Start button has been a fixture on the lower left corner of the Windows desktop since the halcyon days of Windows 95, offering speedy access to apps and settings. Press it on Windows 10, and you'll see the latest step in a long conversation about the state of the PC industry.
The past sits on the left: a neat column with shortcuts to your most used apps. Press the "All Apps" button and you'll get an alphabetical list of all of the apps installed on your PC. There are folders in there too -- press them, and extra options will fly out, just like they always have.
The future -- or at least, the future as Microsoft envisions it -- sits on the right side of the Start menu. These are the colorful, animated live tiles that debuted in Windows 8, pulling double duty as app shortcuts and informative widgets. You can resize these live tiles, drag them about to arrange them into groups and pin as many apps as you'd like -- the entire Start menu can be shrunk or expanded to suit your liking. It's essentially a miniaturized version of the fullscreen Start menu we saw in Windows 8. Hate live tiles? Then unpin them to excise them from your computer, leaving you with the narrow column of frequently used apps we've known for so long.
