Case

The In Win GR One RGB is a full tower PC case made from a combination of 0.8mm SECC steel and some hard plastic. It’s basically geared towards hardcore gamers, or system builders who are looking for a case with lots of options, expansions and support for water cooling.

It supports up to 10x 120mm fans or 140mm fans that could provide excellent thermal performance. It can also support a 360mm radiator on top and another 240mm radiator on the bottom of the case. There are water cooling holes available for custom water cooling, but I rarely see system builders use these holes nowadays.

The In Win GRone also features a two fan speed control, one-touch front bezel filter, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on the front panel and an external SATA EZ-Swap Dock located on top where you can slide a hard drive or SSD in for easy data access. It also supports full size graphics cards of up to 365mm and has a total of 8x PCIE-slots. It can also support large CPU cooler heatsink of up to 206mm in height.

It has a very similar layout like most cases in the market. There are four thumbscrews (two on each side panel) that you have to unscrew to remove the side panels. The side panels are pretty much solid, but they do flex a little bit due to its size. As you can also see from the photos above, there are rubber grommets to protect the cables from being peeled.

There are a total of 8 drive bays for your hard drives and three more for the front bay expansion slots. The drive bays and expansion slot bays are all tool free.

The front mesh cover can easily be removed without removing the whole front cover. The first three covers from top are for the front bay slots and can be removed individually. While the other lower 5 layers is actually a one whole meshed cover. Just push somewhere in the upper mid-section to unclip and remove it.

The drive cages are divided into two sections and can be removed easily. It also uses a tool-less drive mount mechanism. There are also holes on each tray so that you can screw a 2.5-inch drive. You can remove just the lower section if you plan to install a 240mm radiator on the bottom portion.

There are many things to like about the GRone full tower case. We like the nice power button with a LED circle on it. It has 5x 140mm pre-installed fans, and the three of them have LEDs. It fully supports water cooling system and the external hot swap bay could be useful from time to time. The stylish tinted window looks really cool as well and it’s large enough to see all the major components installed inside the case. Air flow is really great as well, as I can feel the heat being properly exhausted at the back and on top of the case. They have also done a really good paint job as well. And amongst the GRone variants, this is the variant that we like most.

Finally, the In Win GRone is one awesome full tower case and if you like the way how it looks then we don’t have any problems recommending the GR One at all. It’s a well-built chassis with lots of room to work with and options for the components.

Processor

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X @ 4.40GHz, Socket AM4, codename Matisse, cores 8, threads 16, base clock 3.60GHz, Turbo clock 4.40GHz, memory controller Dual Channel PC4-25600U (DDR4-3200), CPU features ECC support, Turbo Core 3.0, Precision Boost 2, Precision Boost Overdrive, SMT, VT-Vi, X86-64, AMD-V, AVX, AVX2, AES (2x FMA), NX-Bit, EVP, PCIe 4.0 (X570 only), multiplier selectable , L2 cache 4MB (8x 512kB), L3 cache 32MB (2x 16MB), PCIe lanes 24x PCIe 4.0 (16 + 4 + 4), memory max. 128GB, memory bandwidth 51.2GB / s.

Thanks in part to a significantly redesigned Zen 2 architecture and 7-nm manufacturing, AMD's competitor intends to put further pressure on Intel in terms of both performance and energy efficiency. AMD has also worked hard on the architecture under the hood, for example in the form of a doubled L3 cache (called a "game cache"). According to AMD, this reduces the memory latency, which can lead to better performance in games.

In our gaming benchmarks, AMD Intel is getting a lot closer with the new Ryzen 3000 CPUs. Compared to the previous flagship in the form of the 2700X (about 4.0 GHz under game load), the Ryzen 7 3700X with the same number of cores has a plus of almost seven percent. A certain advantage for Intel remains: the Core i9 9900K with eight cores is about eight percent faster than the 3900X and eleven percent faster than the 3700X.

When it comes to simultaneously playing and streaming to twitch per CPU on a single computer, AMD has always been good with the Ryzen CPUs, thanks to a relatively high core and thread count - albeit at the expense of the performance in the game itself tested Ryzen-3700X gives even an even better picture: it not only manages the processor without problems, a stream in Full HD with 60 fps to represent without image loss, but also the fps loss in the game itself falls pleasingly low. This is particularly clear in the comparison between the Ryzen 7 2700X and the Ryzen 7 3700X: While the fps in the game with the 2700X when streaming in 1920x1080 still drops clearly by 43.9 percent, the 3700X has only 13.2 percent fewer pictures per second - a very good result.

CPU-Cooling

ENERMAX Liqmax II 120, Type: internal (closed System) • Cooling Blocks: CPU (Socket 775, 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2, FM2+) • Radiator: 120mm (incl. 2x 120mm) • Reservoirs: not available • pump: 12V

Enermax positioned themselves as a big player in AIO systems for CPU cooling so the performance and easy of use is pretty much expected with their products and the Enermax Liqmax II 120 is not an exception. From our experience with the first generation of Liqmax we are very pleased with the performance we got from the Liqmax II 120 at idle and fully loaded state of our test-machines. On idle, our test bench was whisper quiet. Under full load the system stayed relatively quiet as well. The Batwing design of the fan blades did a great job of pushing the cooling air through the radiator at a relatively low RPM (2000).

Pros:

Easy installation
Silent operation
3 cooling modes + PWM
air flow
static pressure

Motherboard

MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon, AMD X470 chipset, RAM 4x DDR4 DIMM, dual PC4-27733U / DDR4-3466, max. 64GB, expansion slots 2x PCIe 3.0 x16, 1x PCIe 2.0 x16, 2x PCIe 2.0 x1, 1x M.2 / M-Key, 1x M.2 / M-Key, external connections 1x HDMI 1.4, 1x DiplayPort 1.2, 1x USB-C 3.1, 1x USB-A 3.1, 4x USB-A 3.0, 2x USB-A 2.0, 1x Gb LAN, 5x Jack, 1x Toslink, 1x PS / 2 Combo, Audio 7.1 (Realtek ALC1220), RAID Level 0/1 / 10, Multi-GPU NVIDIA 2-Way SLI, AMD 3-Way CrossFireX, RGB lighting, Audio + solid capacitors, Diagnostic LED, 1x M.2 passive cooler, manufacturer's warranty three years (from date of production).

MSI's X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is the successor to the X370 Gaming Pro Carbon. With the new X470 chipset and the socket AM4 from AMD, the motherboard shows in a slightly different guise.

Designed for the latest Ryzen CPUs with Zen + processor cores, the motherboard offers all the benefits of the new processors in combination with a 400-series chipset. The Desings was maintained by MSI and the board is like its predecessor very dark with a black PCB and only a few, silver elements equipped. Of course, the carbon look is still preserved and is also the reason for naming the motherboard. The reinforced elements such as RAM, PCI Express slots and the I / O cover loosen up the look a bit. In addition, MSI provides the motherboard with RGB lighting.

MSI's X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is a high-end motherboard with the chic design of the Carbon Series. With updated X470 chipset, the motherboard with Socket AM4 can also play in conjunction with the Ryzen 2xxx CPUs. With the Steel-Armor, which provides additional PCI Express ports and RAM slots, as well as good power, the motherboard can also be used as an overclocking model for demanding users. The lighting of the X470 Gaming Pro Carbon comes with three RGB lighting areas and three additional RGB headers.

Graphic Card(s)

NVIDIA Titan RTX, 24GB GDDR6, HDMI, 3x DP, USB-C, 1x HDMI 2.0b ports, 3x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x USB-C with DisplayPort 1.4 (VirtualLink), Chip TU102 - Titan RTX "Turing", chip clock 1350MHz, Boost : 1770MHz, memory 24GB GDDR6, 1750MHz, 384bit, 672GB / s, shader units / TMUs / ROPs 4608/288/96, cooling 2x axial fan, special features real-time raytracing (10grays / s), raytracing cores (72), Tensor Cores (576), H.265 encode / decode, HDCP 2.2, NVIDIA NVLink, memory expandable (48GB), backplate, PCIe 3.0 x16 interface, 16312GFLOPS (single), 8156GFLOPS (double), DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 2.0, Vulkan 1.1.92, Shader Model 6.3.

NVIDIA Titan RTX is the fastest PC graphics card ever. Supported by the award-winning Turing architecture, it offers 130 Tensor TFLOPs, 576 Tensor processors, and 24GB of super-fast GDDR6 memory for your PC. The TITAN RTX graphics cards are based on the Turing GPU architecture and the brand new RTX platform. This gives you up to 6 times more performance compared to previous models and real-time raytracing and AI.

The new Nvidia Titan RTX is not necessarily meant for gamers, but of course the performance in games or game-like benchmarks is interesting. With a fully developed TU102 GPU, 24 GiByte GDDR6 video memory and a 384-bit memory interface, the new graphics card is also superior to the Geforce RTX 2080 Ti. The graphics card is in line with the technical data with the Quadro RTX 6000 and is only surpassed by the Quadro RTX 8000, which has installed instead of 24 gigabytes 48 gigabytes of GDDR6 memory.
In games, the Titan RTX under Full HD has a significant advantage of over 20 percent, but that is unlikely to be the field of application of such an expensive graphics card. At higher resolutions, the advantage drops sharply. Why this is, is not clear, maybe there are simply driver problems.

PSU

FSP Fortron/Source Hydro G 850W is the world first one PSU break the rule and makes it as a standard to gamers. With three colors, it is easy to create your theme related to VGA cards.
Unique product ID with changeable side stickers for DIY enthusiasts and gamers.

The electrical performance of the Hydro G 850W PSU was very good. The unit exhibited tight voltage regulation, high efficiency (80 Plus Gold) and good AC ripple and noise suppression. The cooling fan is very quiet and the power supply operates in silent fan-less mode at low power levels. The Hydro G Series also features fully modular, flat ribbon-style cables. Our only minor complaint was the lack of a second ATX/EPS 4+4 pin cable/connector, which is pretty standard at this power level.

Software

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, Full Version!

Windows 10 is the Goldilocks version of Microsoft's venerable PC operating system -- a "just right" compromise between the familiar dependability of Windows 7, and the forward-looking touchscreen vision of Windows 8.

This new Windows, available as a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 noncorporate users, is built from the ground up to pursue Microsoft's vision of a unified OS that spans all devices without alienating any one platform. It's an attempt to safeguard Microsoft's crumbling software hegemony, assailed on all sides by Google and Apple. And it's a vision of the future as Microsoft sees it, where a single user experience spans every piece of technology we touch. Welcome to Windows as a service.

Yes, this new OS is chock-full of fresh features. To name just a few: a lean, fast Internet Explorer replacement called Edge; Microsoft's Siri-like voice-controlled virtual assistant, Cortana; and the ability to stream real-time games to your desktop from an Xbox One in another room. (And in case you're wondering: there is no "Windows 9" -- Microsoft skipped it, going straight from 8 to 10.)

But Windows 10 is also the end of a long, awkward road that began with the release of Windows 8 in 2012, when Microsoft tried to convince a world of keyboard and mouse wielders that touchscreens were the way to go -- or else. Ironically, in 2015, the PC hardware for that touchscreen future is now here -- everything from 2-in-1s such as the Lenovo Yoga line to convertible tablets with detachable keyboards, like Microsoft's own Surface. And Windows 10 smoothly lets users transition from "tablet" to "PC" mode on such devices like never before.

For the rest of the PC universe -- including those who still prefer good old-fashioned keyboard and mouse navigation -- Windows 10 is a welcome return to form. The Start menu, inexplicably yanked from 8, is back and working the way you expect it to. Those live tiles from the Windows 8 home screen still exist, but they've been attached to the Start menu, where they make a lot more sense. And the fiendishly hidden Charms bar has been morphed into the more straightforward (and easier to find) Action Center.

As always, there are some quibbles and gripes with the end product, but all-in-all -- after living with Windows 10 for months -- I can say it's a winner. It's flexible, adaptable and customizable. And it's been battle-tested by an army of beta testers for the better part of a year, making it one of the most robust operating system rollouts in recent memory.

A fresh Start

The Start menu is back; it's almost funny how relieving that is. That humble Start button has been a fixture on the lower left corner of the Windows desktop since the halcyon days of Windows 95, offering speedy access to apps and settings. Press it on Windows 10, and you'll see the latest step in a long conversation about the state of the PC industry.

The past sits on the left: a neat column with shortcuts to your most used apps. Press the "All Apps" button and you'll get an alphabetical list of all of the apps installed on your PC. There are folders in there too -- press them, and extra options will fly out, just like they always have.

The future -- or at least, the future as Microsoft envisions it -- sits on the right side of the Start menu. These are the colorful, animated live tiles that debuted in Windows 8, pulling double duty as app shortcuts and informative widgets. You can resize these live tiles, drag them about to arrange them into groups and pin as many apps as you'd like -- the entire Start menu can be shrunk or expanded to suit your liking. It's essentially a miniaturized version of the fullscreen Start menu we saw in Windows 8. Hate live tiles? Then unpin them to excise them from your computer, leaving you with the narrow column of frequently used apps we've known for so long.
