Timelessly elegant design with large glass side window
The Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass uses high-quality aluminum on the top and front, which can be illuminated with integrated LED lighting in 10 colors. The tower deserves the name "Luxe", because "lux" is known as the Latin word for "light", which, as a portmanteau word, is aptly fused with "luxury" and "deluxe". Housed in the two-sided "channels" between the chassis and side panels, the preinstalled LED strips shine u. a. in red, green or blue and give off their light pleasant indirect. Switching between the 10 colors is done via a push button on the I / O panel. An additional connector is available for another, optional LED strip in the case, so that the buyer can continue to expand the lighting and also control it. The right-hand side part and the basic frame are made of gray-painted steel, while the left-hand side wall is made of a huge, tinted tempered glass pane, which is held in place by four screws and provides impressive insight into the housing and the installed hardware.
Compatible with motherboards with RGB-Strip-Header and RGB LEDs
Thanks to the ingenious Phanteks RGB LED adapter cable, motherboards with 12 volt RGB headers can be equipped with the integrated (or also extended by Phanteks RGB LED Strips or upgraded) RGB LED lighting in Phantks housings Enthoo Luxe series , Enthoo Mini XL and Eclipse P400 (S) in all variants (Standard, Window, Tempered Glass, Insulated) and colors together. The trick here is that the aura motherboard lighting can be controlled together with the respective housing lighting on the practical software, which the entire gaming PC is lit as desired uniform and can represent the same LED effects.
Optimum ventilation for heavy hardware
In addition to the aluminum aesthetics and built-in LED glow in 10 possible colors enthuses the Enthoo Luxe inside with all sorts of benefits. In the filtered front, either a 200 mm fan or two 120 or 140 fans can be installed, with two of the latter type are already pre-installed. At the top three ODD slots (of course tool-less) are hidden behind the bezels, the top panel is a flap for the I / O ports, twice USB 3.0 and 2.0 and audio ports - and the LED button. Instead of optical drives, another 120 mm fan can also be placed here. The top piece continues the look seamlessly. At the front there is only an illuminated power button, behind it fan slots for optional fans are hidden in 200, 140 or 120 mm behind black mesh, with a 140 mm model already waiting for its use at the factory. Unlike many other cases, Phanteks donated the Enthoo Luxe not only in the front and bottom, but also here a removable dust filter.
Luxurious water cooling & cable management support
Both in the lid, behind the front, on the ground as well as on the rear fan position, which is preceded by another 140 fan, the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe can also be equipped with water cooling radiators. In the lid even, triple heat exchangers up to 360 mm, which must not fail higher than 65 mm, in order not to collide with the installed mainboard. The tray accommodates boards from Mini-ITX to E-ATX / SSI EEB and behind the eight PCI slots you can screw on a Watercooling expansion tank. The view through the large main window reveals many rubberized cable glands also have their own sealed compartment ("PSU shroud") for the ATX power supply, which draws its fresh air from below and does not radiate its heat to the other components in the enclosure. The opened right-hand side of the case reveals further ingenious features: Two individually removable HDD cages sit in the front, which are also loaded from here with 3.5 or 2.5-inch drives. At this point, however, can also be mounted on the bottom of the housing as an alternative, the vibration-resistant pump mount. On the far back, on the back of the motherboard tray, you can also attach two included 2.5-inch "drop-n-lock" brackets for one extra small drive each. Thanks to the many Velcro fasteners and clips, the bundling and steering of cables is very easy to accomplish, especially since there is space between 2.7 and 3.9 cm. And another, enormously practical Phanteks invention is housed there. A small board with connectors for up to six 3-pin fans. These are powered by the power supply via SATA power cables. The trick, however, is that they are all automatically speed-controlled - depending on the PWM signal, which dictates the built-in motherboard. An extra cable from the fan hub leads to the 4-pin PWM connector on the motherboard. Thus, the three preinstalled and three other fans can be controlled synchronously and temperature-dependent. The chic Big Tower Enthoo Luxe is thus an excellent choice for style lovers, quality buyers, because it combines a low purchase price with the unique design, the aluminum grace and the lighting options.
INTEL Core i9-9940X, clock speed @ 4.40GHz, socket 2066, codename Skylake-X, cores 14, threads 28, base clock 3.30GHz, Turbo clock 4.40GHz, PCIe lanes 44x, memory controller Quad Channel, CPU features Intel Optane Support, Turbo Boost 2.0, Turbo Boost Max 3.0 (4.50GHz), Hyper-Threading, VT-x, VT-d, Intel 64, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX, AVX2, AVX-512 (1x FMA), EIST, AES -NI, XD bit, multiplier selectable, chipset suitability X299, L2 cache 14MB, L3 cache 19.25MB, interface DMI 3.0, 8GT / s, memory max. 128GB, memory bandwidth 85.3GB / s.
That could not let Intel sit on it: The showcase model of the series, the Core i9-9920X, was torn by AMD's Threadripper in terms of performance downright in the ground. The i9-9940X makes up for that and comes with 14 CPU cores, 28 threads and a very large level 2 cache of 14 x 1024 KB.
The base clock rate is at comparatively low 3.3 GHz, which, however, is not negligible due to the core number and the turbo clock frequency of 4.5 GHz. There is also plenty of potential for overclocking.
Like the other 14 nm CPUs in the series, the i9-9940X also requires a motherboard with socket LGA 2066. The Skylake X platform used supports a total of 44 lanes, Quadchannel DDR4 for 128 GB of RAM, and the 8 GT / s fast DMI3 as a quick cut on the motherboard.
As might be expected with these specifications, the benchmark results of the Core i9-9940X are outstanding. The Intel CPU is the same in all tests with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper, but has the lead in the crucial areas.

The MSI X299 SLI Plus is a budget friendly way to get into the high performance LGA 2066 socket, while offering great features. MSI has several offerings for the X299 chipset, and this motherboard is amongst the most affordable (with the X299 Raider being the absolute cheapest). MSI also has a few offerings in microATX form factor. Intel's X299 chipset provides 24 PCIe 3.0 lanes while the CPUs provide the rest.
The MSI X299 SLI Plus supports up to 128GB of memory at overclocked speeds of up to DDR4 4500+. It offers four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots that users can use in: x16/x16/x8 mode with 44-lane CPUs, x16/x8/x4 modes with 28-lane CPUs, or x8/x8/x0 or x8/x4/x4 modes with 16-lane CPUs. Both NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire are supported despite the name of the motherboard.
Storage support options consist of eight SATA 6Gb/s ports, two M.2 (Key M) slots that share bandwidth with two of the SATA ports (both support up to PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gb/s and lengths of 2242/2260/2280, while the second also supports 22110 devices), and a U.2 port that supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe storage.
Power users will appreciate the Steel Armor protecting the PCIe, U.2, and M.2 slots, and the M.2 Shield that protects and coolers M.2 devices. Both power users and overclockers will find the "System Saver" feature very handy, which includes the Clear CMOS & Flash Back Button. MSI has given full control over all six motherboard fan headers both in the BIOS and through software, with DC or PWM modes for each fan header. A pump header on the motherboard provides up to 2 amps of power. Overclockers will enjoy many features within the BIOS, along with the stability provided by the OC Engine 2 external clock generator and DIGITALL power design. The EZ Debug LED makes it easy to find out why a system may have issues.
The MSI x299 SLI Plus motherboard is primarily black with some silver accents. Mystic Light RGB LEDs are installed on both the chipset and power phase heat sinks and can be adjusted in the software. The massive size of the LGA 2066 socket makes the motherboard look smaller than it is, and with eight DIMM slots there isn't much spare room. For an affordable motherboard the X299 SLI Plus doesn't appear to be lacking any features!

2x KFA² GeForce RTX 2080 EX [1-Click OC], each card with 8GB GDDR6, HDMI, 3x DP, Connections 1x HDMI 2.0b, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a, Chip TU104-400X-A1 "Turing", chip clock 1515MHz, Boost: 1755MHz (OC Mode ), Memory 8GB GDDR6, 7000MHz, 256bit, 448GB / s, shader units / TMUs / ROPs 2944/184/64, cooling 2x axial fan (100mm, RGB illuminated), special features real-time raytracing (8grays / s), raytracing Cores (46), Tensor Cores (368), H.265 encode / decode, NVIDIA G-Sync, NVIDIA VR-Ready, NVIDIA NVLink, NVIDIA 2-Way SLI (NVLink), HDCP 2.2, 0dB Zero Fan Mode, backplate, LED lighting (RGB), boost clock overclocked (+ 45MHz), PCIe 3.0 x16 interface, DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 2.0, Vulkan 1.1.96, Shader model 6.3.
To keep the volume and temperature low, KFA2 differs from the standard among other things in the cooling mechanism. The GeForce RTX 2080 EX uses a custom design, consisting of an aluminum heat sink with 5 heatpipes, on which rotate 2 each 100 mm diameter fan with RGB lighting. This effort pays off: the KFA2 was by far the quietest on our open test platform and barely perceptible in a closed PC case.
In Boost mode, the clock can be increased to 1755 MHz, which corresponds to an overclocking of 45 MHz to the Nvidia boost. This requires the KFA2 tool Xtreme Tuner Plus, to which also the addition "1-Click OC" alludes in the product name.
During manual overclocking, we increased the power target to 110% and worked on a stable cycle. Here we came to an increase of 232 MHz at the GPU clock. Based on a base clock of 1710 MHz, we ended up at 1,933 MHz. That corresponds to about 13% increase. The maximum measured boost was 2,085 MHz.
We also overclocked the GDDR6 memory via the offset controller. Here we reached a 1.262 MHz higher total clock. The graphics memory clocks by default with 1,750 MHz, respectively 7,000 MHz. Thereafter, the GDDR6 clock was 2.066 and 8.264 MHz, respectively. In percent, we have a clock increase of just over 18%.
Around the fan hub are LEDs that illuminate the semi-transparent fan. In addition, the lettering on the top is lit. The lighting can be adjusted by software according to your own preferences, however, the fan and the lettering can not illuminate independently.
In Battlefield 5, the KFA2 RTX 2080 in Full HD resolution and with both ray tracing settings reaches more than 60 fps. The performance is also sufficient for WQHD with low settings, the graphics card reaches a decent 70 fps. The graphics card is powerful and can smoothly render games with maximum details in the demanding Ultra HD resolution.

Unique product ID with changeable side stickers for DIY enthusiasts and gamers.
The electrical performance of the Hydro G 850W PSU was very good. The unit exhibited tight voltage regulation, high efficiency (80 Plus Gold) and good AC ripple and noise suppression. The cooling fan is very quiet and the power supply operates in silent fan-less mode at low power levels. The Hydro G Series also features fully modular, flat ribbon-style cables. Our only minor complaint was the lack of a second ATX/EPS 4+4 pin cable/connector, which is pretty standard at this power level.

The Samsung EVO series has been the go to SSD for price versus performance aficionados for many years now and it looks like that won’t be changing anytime soon. We topped the drives rated 550 MB/s sequential read and 520 MB/s sequential write speeds and came close enough to the drives 98k/90k 4K Random IOPS read/write performance target. Samsung wasn’t able to boost the raw performance of this series due to being limited by the SATA III interface, but they were able to make a handful of key changes that improves the user experience. Most consumers will never know that the Samsung 860 EVO series uses the new Samsung MJX controller paired with Samsung’s latest V-NAND 3bit MLC, but they will likely notice the longer battery life if they are on a mobile device and much improved sustained write performance. They can also sleep easier at night knowing that the reliability of this drive is superior to most all drives in this class.
If you are looking for a SATA III consumer drive and wanted the best TLC drive out there the Samsung 860 EVO is it. It will be interesting to see how long the Samsung 860 EVO is going to be around for considering the Samsung 850 EVO made it four years.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, Full Version!
Windows 10 is the Goldilocks version of Microsoft's venerable PC operating system -- a "just right" compromise between the familiar dependability of Windows 7, and the forward-looking touchscreen vision of Windows 8.
This new Windows, available as a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 noncorporate users, is built from the ground up to pursue Microsoft's vision of a unified OS that spans all devices without alienating any one platform. It's an attempt to safeguard Microsoft's crumbling software hegemony, assailed on all sides by Google and Apple. And it's a vision of the future as Microsoft sees it, where a single user experience spans every piece of technology we touch. Welcome to Windows as a service.
Yes, this new OS is chock-full of fresh features. To name just a few: a lean, fast Internet Explorer replacement called Edge; Microsoft's Siri-like voice-controlled virtual assistant, Cortana; and the ability to stream real-time games to your desktop from an Xbox One in another room. (And in case you're wondering: there is no "Windows 9" -- Microsoft skipped it, going straight from 8 to 10.)
But Windows 10 is also the end of a long, awkward road that began with the release of Windows 8 in 2012, when Microsoft tried to convince a world of keyboard and mouse wielders that touchscreens were the way to go -- or else. Ironically, in 2015, the PC hardware for that touchscreen future is now here -- everything from 2-in-1s such as the Lenovo Yoga line to convertible tablets with detachable keyboards, like Microsoft's own Surface. And Windows 10 smoothly lets users transition from "tablet" to "PC" mode on such devices like never before.
For the rest of the PC universe -- including those who still prefer good old-fashioned keyboard and mouse navigation -- Windows 10 is a welcome return to form. The Start menu, inexplicably yanked from 8, is back and working the way you expect it to. Those live tiles from the Windows 8 home screen still exist, but they've been attached to the Start menu, where they make a lot more sense. And the fiendishly hidden Charms bar has been morphed into the more straightforward (and easier to find) Action Center.
As always, there are some quibbles and gripes with the end product, but all-in-all -- after living with Windows 10 for months -- I can say it's a winner. It's flexible, adaptable and customizable. And it's been battle-tested by an army of beta testers for the better part of a year, making it one of the most robust operating system rollouts in recent memory.
A fresh Start
The Start menu is back; it's almost funny how relieving that is. That humble Start button has been a fixture on the lower left corner of the Windows desktop since the halcyon days of Windows 95, offering speedy access to apps and settings. Press it on Windows 10, and you'll see the latest step in a long conversation about the state of the PC industry.
The past sits on the left: a neat column with shortcuts to your most used apps. Press the "All Apps" button and you'll get an alphabetical list of all of the apps installed on your PC. There are folders in there too -- press them, and extra options will fly out, just like they always have.
The future -- or at least, the future as Microsoft envisions it -- sits on the right side of the Start menu. These are the colorful, animated live tiles that debuted in Windows 8, pulling double duty as app shortcuts and informative widgets. You can resize these live tiles, drag them about to arrange them into groups and pin as many apps as you'd like -- the entire Start menu can be shrunk or expanded to suit your liking. It's essentially a miniaturized version of the fullscreen Start menu we saw in Windows 8. Hate live tiles? Then unpin them to excise them from your computer, leaving you with the narrow column of frequently used apps we've known for so long.
