The casing of the notebook is made entirely of black plastic. There are no surface textures. The top of the base unit and the back of the lid are rubberized. The speaker bar is located above the keyboard and is angled towards the user. An unmissable power button was placed between the speaker bar and keyboard. On the underside of the device you will find two easy-to-open maintenance flaps that allow access to the entire hardware.
The case is very solid. The device has no weaknesses in terms of stability. The hinges hold the lid firmly in place. It is possible to open the lid with one hand.
The notebook offers a Macro Color Back-Lit keyboard. Change the colors of your illuminated buttons as you want. The main buttons have a size of approximately 15 x 15 mm. Overall, the keys have a normal stroke and a clear pressure point. We like their crisp resistance. All in all, a keyboard with a very good typing feel.
The multi-touch capable touchpad has a size of 10.6 x 6.1 cm. This means there is plenty of space for using gesture control. The smooth surface of the pad makes it easy for the fingers to slide. The various gestures can be switched on and off individually in the configuration menu of the pad. There are two mouse buttons below the pad. They have a short stroke and a clear pressure point.
The device is equipped with an anti-reflective, matt 17.3-inch display that works with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 144 Hz.
The WLAN module also provides the notebook's Bluetooth 5.1 functionality. A Gigabit Ethernet chip from Realtek's RTL8168 / 8111 family handles wired network connections without complaining. The built-in webcam creates images in resolutions up to 1920x1080.

The Intel Core i7-11800H is an eight-core / 16 threads processor for gaming notebooks. It is based on the Tiger Lake architecture (H45). The chip offers a TDP of 45 watts (configurable). The processor cores can clock from 2.3 to 4.6 GHz (single core turbo). All cores together can reach a maximum of 4.2 GHz. The processor offers 24 MB level 3 cache and supports DDR4-3200 memory.
Thanks to the new Tiger Lake architecture, the performance is well above its predecessor, the Intel Core i7-10875H (Comet Lake-H, 2.3 - 5.1 GHz, 16 MB L3) (single and multi-core performance). The performance is thus comparable to that of an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H (Zen 3; 3.2 - 4.4 GHz; 16 MB L3).
As with the smaller Tiger Lake chips, WLAN (Wifi 6E) and Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 are (partially) integrated in the chip for faster, cheaper and space-saving implementations in notebooks. The i7-11800H also offers 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes.
HI-TECH uses only full-copper heatpipe cooling. This type of cooling ensures optimal conditions and makes this unique notebook: While HI-TECH only uses this technology, other manufacturers often obstruct only inferior aluminum / copper hybrid or even pure aluminum coolers. The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:

Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
