Even if the external dimensions correspond to a midi tower, thanks to its sophisticated design, the Balance is designed to accommodate a mainboard even in E-ATX format. There is also plenty of space for graphics cards with 370 millimeters to the front. At 160 millimeters, there is also enough space for common CPU coolers. A cover hides the power supply and the HDD cage, in which either two 3.5-inch or two 2.5-inch drives can be installed. Two 2.5-inch SSDs can be attached to the back of the mainboard bracket.

Since AM4 motherboards with chipsets from the 400 series have only very limited BIOS memory space to support the latest Ryzen processors, MSI is relaunching its existing models as a "MAX" version with more memory space and also better DDR4 performance. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12.
