The K11 is characterised by an outstanding design and high build quality. It has a steel frame with a tempered glass panel, so you can display your gaming components. All that, and it's at an affordable price point.

In particular, RGB illumination is a great feature of the K11. The front panel consists of a strong aRGB strip alongside several additional indentations. These are perfectly complemented by the pre-installed rear Umbra ARGB PWM120mm fan. Since these illumination elements are aRGB, they can be controlled directly via the motherboard.

Ample room for hardware

As a Mid-Tower, the K11 has all the room you need for the components necessary to make a powerful build. A full ATX motherboard can be mounted with space for a GPU up to 315mm long and a CPU cooler up to 165mm high.

Cooling is also a priority for the K11. As well as the pre-installed Umbra ARGB PWM 120mm fan, three 120mm fans can be attached at the front, two on top, and another two above the PSU shroud. 

Connecting additional fans is straightforward, as it is possible to daisy-chain additional 3-pin 5V devices. Regarding storage, there is capacity for two 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives and also a standard ATX PSU. The I/O panel has two 2.0 and one 3.0 USB ports, as well as an audio in/out jack and power button.

The Intel Core i5-10400F with six cores and Hyper-Threading is the expected big leap compared to its direct predecessor, the performance increases in some cases significantly. Together with its low price, this makes the CPU the most interesting solution in Intel's Comet Lake S portfolio for the LGA 1200 socket.

The leap in performance is most evident in applications. In the best case, this is up to 35 percent more. The new CPU is also faster than its predecessor in games and overtakes AMD's 6-core Zen 2 competitor, which was recently faster than the Intel Core i5-9400F on average. The new Intel Core i5-10400F is on par with the old top model Core i7-8700K. How clear the gain over the Core i5-9400F is depends on the title. If a game addresses more than six or eight threads, the lead can quickly turn into double digits, thanks to Hyper-Threading.

CPU-Cooling

INTEL Boxed cooling. All models, whether K or non-K, rely on a cooler that is very similar to that of the Clarkdale and Lynnfield versions. However, Intel has decided against radially oriented cooling fins and uses instead again curved aluminum fins. This cooler we liked in terms of smoothness in idle quite well and should be absolutely sufficient for most users.

The wait is over: After an immense delay, Intel's Alchemist gaming graphics cards are now coming onto the market with the Arc A770 and Arc A750.

Arc A770 and Arc A750 are Intel's flagship first-generation Arc graphics cards based on the Alchemist chip architecture. Both are aimed at PC gamers and users of professional software. Intel's "Limited Edition" is the manufacturer's "Founders Edition". It is manufactured by Intel and marketed by Intel.
 
There are differences in the clock rates: According to Intel, the A770 typically clocks the GPU at 2,100 MHz and the memory at 17.5 Gbps, with the A750 it is 2,050 and 16.0 Gbps respectively. There is again agreement on the maximum permissible clock rate: 2,400 MHz is the maximum permissible in both cases without manual intervention (OC).

Gaming benchmarks in WQHD: On average across all games in the course, the Arc A770 in WQHD is 1 percent ahead of the GeForce RTX 3060 in terms of FPS, the Arc A750 is only 7 percent behind. In this case, the Radeon RX 6650 XT remains almost 5 percent ahead, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is 27 percent faster than the Arc A770 in the factory state. If the GPU power target is increased from 190 to 228 watts, the performance increases by an average of 2 percent because the maximum permitted clock rate of 2,400 MHz does not allow the graphics card to make use of the higher budget in every title. The A770 is a maximum of 5 percent faster.

In the WQHD course and also there in the FPS, the Intel Arc A770 can achieve a narrow victory over the GeForce RTX 3060 on average. In terms of frame times and in lower resolutions, GeForce and Radeon are again ahead. The Arc A750 typically follows the Arc A770 by less than 10 percent.

The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:
 
"We want to ensure that we offer developers the largest and most vibrant user base for their applications," said Satya Nadella in his opening keynote at BUILD 2015 in San Francisco. Windows 10 is now available in 190 countries and 111 languages.

The browser is really new in Windows 10: Edge replaces Internet Explorer. The new browser doesn't just have the cooler name. It is also much faster. In almost all browser benchmarks, Edge depends on IE 11 from Windows 8.1. It can almost double its pace in Mozilla's Kraken benchmark. It looks the same in Google's Octane 2.0 test. Its pace remains roughly the same in the Sunspider test and the Peacekeeper benchmark. Conclusion: When it comes to the browser speed, Windows 10 with Edge catches up a lot. In Kraken and Octane, Edge overtakes the competition, in the Sunspider he stays ahead. The old conditions are only preserved in the Peacekeeper test.

Windows start

Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).

System performance

Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.

3D performance

Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.

Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
