The purchase argument for the fastest gaming CPU was previously reserved for Intel processors. But with the new Ryzen processors of the 5000 series, this changes. The single-core performance could be increased drastically and the Intel Core i9-10900K remains around 20 percent behind the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.
The somewhat slower Ryzen 7 5800X also has an easy time with the 10 core. Even the multi-core performance is much better with the 8-core. The success story of AMD continues with the new models of the Ryzen 5000 family and for the first time the current Ryzen CPUs are faster than Intel's Core i9-10900K when gaming. AMD does not pack even more CPU cores under the heatspreader, but fundamentally changes the structure of the CCX in order to increase the IPC. This is exactly where the new Ryzen 5000 can convince and outclass the old top dog in many single CPU benchmarks. Last but not least, the higher single-thread performance also has a significant impact on the multi-core performance.
ENERMAX Liqmax III ARGB 360, type internal (closed system), heat sink CPU, heat sink material copper, compatibility CPU 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066, AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, AM4, FM1 , FM2, FM2 +, radiator size 360mm, radiator thickness 27mm, radiator material aluminum, fan 3x 120mm, 500-1600rpm, 14-27dB (A), 38.23-122.5m³ / h, pump 12V, special features LED (RGB), LED control, wired remote control.
The Enermax Liqmax III 360 ARGB complete water cooling combines first-class performance with a stylish design. The three 120 RGB fans specially developed for use on radiators generate high static pressure and bright illumination.
The Enermax Liqmax III 360 ARGB complete water cooling at a glance:
Digitally addressable RGB LED lighting on CPU block and fan
360 mm aluminum radiator for maximum cooling performance
Three 120 mm ARGB fans with a static pressure of 1.98 mm H2O
Max. 122.5 m³ / h delivery volume at max. 1600 rpm
Easy handling thanks to flexible hoses with kink protection
Compatible with common AMD & Intel sockets
Even the Liqmax III RGB 240 can offer a respectable cooling performance and outperform some 240 mm models from the competition. The Liqmax III ARGB 360 goes one step further. The 360 mm radiator cools significantly better, especially when the fan speed is reduced. And there are also clear differences in the lighting effect. The regular RGB lighting with the restriction to one color at the same time is almost simple. The ARGB variant is more colorful and is just right for users who want particularly varied lighting. A clear plus is that, unlike the RGB version, a controller is included. The lighting can also be controlled independently of the mainboard.

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Holo, 10GB GDDR6X, connections 1x HDMI 2.1, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a, chip GA102-200-KD-A1 "Ampere", 68SM, 642mm², chip clock 1440MHz, Boost: 1770MHz, memory 10GB GDDR6X, 1188MHz, 19Gbps (19000MHz effective), 320bit, 760GB / s, shader units / TMUs / ROPs 8704/272/96, cooling 3x axial fans (90mm), special features real-time ray tracing, ray tracing cores (68), tensor cores (272), NVIDIA G-Sync, NVIDIA VR-Ready, AV1 Decode, HDCP 2.3, 0dB-Zero-Fan-Modus, backplate, LED lighting (RGB), boost clock overclocked (+ 60MHz), interface PCIe 4.0 x16 , Computing power 30.81 TFLOPS (FP32), 481 GFLOPS (FP64), DirectX 12 Ultimate (12_2) OpenGL 4.6 OpenCL 2.0 Vulkan 1.2 Shader Model 6.5.
The ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Holo has a further revised cooling system, which, as a triple-slot model, throws numerous aluminum fins and thick copper heat pipes as well as three huge axial fans into the balance. But also when it comes to RGB lighting, it turns up a bit more than the smaller series representatives. Under the hood there is of course the thickest factory overclocking as the top model.
With the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Holo, ZOTAC goes to the limit and delivers its largest and fastest offshoot among the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards. The cooling system is extremely powerful, offers numerous aluminum fins, thick copper heat pipes and three huge axial fans with a diameter of 90 mm. The three-slot model runs a bit more smoothly than the cheaper Trinity version from our last test, but this advantage is paid for with slightly higher temperatures. When idling, the 3D accelerator works completely silently thanks to the fan shutdown - as befits a modern high-end graphics card.
Due to the powerful cooling systems and the numerous factors such as power limit, temperature behavior and power supply, the graphics chips are all close together - the actual differences are hardly measurable. In addition, ZOTAC has already done a very good job in terms of layout and cooling with its Trinity. In practice, our AMP Holo works at around 1,965 MHz.
Where the AMP Holo really turns up is with the RGB lighting. This is much more extensive than that of the smaller series representatives or even the competition. Almost the entire face of the graphics card is illuminated, but also the gaming logo on the top and the large light strips right next to it. RGB fans definitely get their money's worth here and can set this individually via the software.
FTX-1200-1 Forza 1200W ATX 2.4, fan 120mm, volume 19-22dB (A), cable management fully modular, connections 1x 20/24 pin, 2x 4/8 pin ATX12V, 8x 6/8 pin PCIe , 12x SATA, 4x IDE, 1x floppy, average efficiency 92%, certificates 80 PLUS Platinum, manufacturer's guarantee ten years, number of 12V rails 1, + 3.3V, 20A + 5V, 20A + 12V 98A-12V 0.3A + 5Vsb 3A PFC active form factor ATX PS / 2 special features ErP Lot 6.
The power supply has the 80Plus Platinum certification and must therefore have an efficiency of at least 90, 94 and 91 percent at 20, 50 and 100 percent load. The housing structure differs somewhat from the usual design. The top cover, under which the fan is located, consists of a U-shape that has been perforated at the top and at one end. This "U" is not simply bent by 90 degrees on the front sides, but finely rounded without any edges. The cutouts with the connections are located on the opposite end. On the underside is the base plate on which the power supply is attached. The two sides are made of aluminum sheets, the edges of which have been completely beveled and polished. This means that there is not a single 90-degree edge on this power donor, only fine curves.
In summary, a visually elegant and high-quality design. In addition, there is a full cable management and a single powerful 12 volt rail that can be loaded up to a maximum of 98 amps.
The power supply is cooled by a 120mm fan via a temperature control. The built-in fan was barely noticeable during our test run. Regarding the fan volume, it should be noted that, as with all fans with temperature control, it is difficult to quantify the effective volume in "normal operation", at least without complex measuring methods in air-conditioned and anechoic rooms. The fan was barely audible even under full load and overload.

The Samsung OEM SSD PM9A1 is made entirely of semiconductor components and uses NAND flash memory, which has high reliability and advanced technology in a small form factor. Thanks to the support of the Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) 4.0 interface standard, performance is much faster than that of SATA SSDs. A comparison of the speed makes it clear that the PM9A1 version is definitely ahead. In contrast to the 6,000 MB / s, the two previous models only offered 3,500 MB / s. This is no wonder. After all, both OEMs were equipped with PCIe 3.0 and not the latest PCIe 4.0 standard.
The Samsung PM9A1 is an M.2 SSD with PCIe 4.0 and practically the OEM counterpart to the 980 Pro.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, pre-installed with all necessary device drivers. Switch on and get started!
The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:
"We want to ensure that we offer developers the largest and most vibrant user base for their applications," said Satya Nadella in his opening keynote at BUILD 2015 in San Francisco. Windows 10 is now available in 190 countries and 111 languages.
The browser is really new in Windows 10: Edge replaces Internet Explorer. The new browser doesn't just have the cooler name. It is also much faster. In almost all browser benchmarks, Edge depends on IE 11 from Windows 8.1. It can almost double its pace in Mozilla's Kraken benchmark. It looks the same in Google's Octane 2.0 test. Its pace remains roughly the same in the Sunspider test and the Peacekeeper benchmark. Conclusion: When it comes to the browser speed, Windows 10 with Edge catches up a lot. In Kraken and Octane, Edge overtakes the competition, in the Sunspider he stays ahead. The old conditions are only preserved in the Peacekeeper test.
Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).
Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
