The Silent Midi Tower Antec P101 Silent is equipped with noise insulation in the front, cover and side panels. The chassis is made of sturdy steel. After removing the left side wall, the white mainboard tray is immediately visible. Main boards up to E-ATX can be installed here. Graphics cards can be up to 290 millimeters long. The power supply cover is a total of 290 millimeters long and thus offers space for very powerful power supplies and storage space for cables. With the new Comet Lake generation, Intel is entering the tenth round of Core i processors. Once again, Intel means more evolution than revolution. It was not too many years ago that the idea of a 1TB drive was almost mind-boggling. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12.
