Kolink Void: Exquisite design meets high performance
The digitally addressable RGB LED strips, the lighting of which is enhanced by an infinity mirror effect in the front, can be controlled via a switch on the I / O panel, as can the rear-mounted RGB LED fan in 120 mm format. Alternatively, the strips and the fan can also be connected and controlled to a suitably equipped mainboard thanks to the standardized 3-pin connector (5VDG). Then the switch for the RGB LED control can be used as a reset button. Thanks to the tempered glass side panel, the lighting can also be admired inside the Kolink Void.
In addition to the pre-installed fan, five more 120s can be installed, three of them on the front and two more on the lid. There is a magnetic dust filter on the honeycomb mesh. Side ventilation slots on the front and in the power supply cover provide additional airflow. As an alternative to the fans, there is also the option of placing a 240 mm radiator on the front.

The entire interior is coated in black and provided with a power supply cover to achieve a particularly clean look. There is space for a permanently installed hard drive cage with brackets for two 3.5 or 2.5 inch drives and the power supply. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
