The HI-TECH notebook is aimed primarily at gamers and does not disappoint in this regard: all current games are displayed smoothly on the screen. Noise and heat are relatively moderate.
The case of the notebook is made entirely of black plastic and without surface textures. The top of the base unit and the back of the lid are gummed. The speaker bar is located above the keyboard and is angled towards the user. The striking power button is placed between loudspeaker bar and keyboard. On the bottom of the device there are two easy-to-open maintenance flaps that provide access to the entire hardware.
The case is processed quite solid, without weaknesses in terms of stability. The hinges hold the lid firmly in position, so a one-handed opening of the lid is possible.
The notebook has a Macro Color Back-Lit Keyboard. Change the colours and glowing effects of your illuminated buttons as you like. The main buttons have a size of about 15 x 15 mm. Overall, the keys have a normal stroke and a clear pressure point. We like the crisp resistance. All in all a keyboard with a very comfortable writing experience.
The dimensions of the multitouch touchpad are 10.6 x 6.1 cm, which is plenty of space for gesture controls. The smooth surface of the pad makes it easy for the fingers to glide. The various gestures can be switched individually on and off in the configuration menu of the pad. Below the pad there are two mouse buttons. They have a short stroke and a clear pressure point.
The device is equipped with a 17.3-inch anti-glare display, which works with a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. The screen has a good brightness of 299.2 cd/m².
The WLAN module also provides the Bluetooth 4.0 functionality of the notebook. Wired network connections are easily handled by Realtek's RTL8168/8111 family Gigabit Ethernet chip. The built-in webcam generates images in resolutions up to 1,920 x 1,080.
The gaming scion makes maintenance easy for its owner: Two large flaps provide quick access to the hardware. The device contains two memory banks. Both the M.2 SSD (Full Size) and the 2.5-inch HDD can be exchanged quickly and easily. Cleaning the two fans is possible.

The Intel Core i7-9750H is a high-end processor for laptops with six cores based on the Coffee Lake architecture (2019 refresh, CFL-HR). The processor clocks at between 2.6 and 4.5 GHz (4 GHz with 6 cores) and can execute up to twelve threads simultaneously thanks to Hyper-Threading. According to Intel, the CPU is manufactured in an improved 14nm (14nm++) process. Compared to the predecessor, the Core i7-8750H, the 9750H offers improved clock rates and more L3 cache.
The Coffee Lake architecture is similar to Kaby Lake and differs only in the amount of cores (now max. eight cores for the high end versions) and the improved 14nm process (14nm++ according to Intel).
Due to the two additional cores, performance has increased by almost 50% compared to a similar clocked Kaby Lake processor like the Core i7-7820HQ (2.9 - 3.9 GHz). Single-core performance has not improved since its Kaby Lake predecessor. As a high-end model, the i7-9750H is suitable for the most demanding applications and games.
HI-TECH uses only full-copper heatpipe cooling. This type of cooling ensures optimal conditions and makes this unique notebook: While HI-TECH only uses this technology, other manufacturers often obstruct only inferior aluminum / copper hybrid or even pure aluminum coolers. These have a much worse cooling performance. Especially in gaming applications when devices are heavily used, there is a risk that the unit overheats. This leads to the fact that the individual components down contacts for reasons of protection, which minimizes the power of the device enormously. In the worst case, there could be breakdowns and could shorten the life lead. With the HI-TECH-copper heatpipe cooling in contrast the notebook is perfectly chilled even under extreme stress!
Need some examples? Maximum 34.9 ° C on the top and a maximum of 34.5 ° C on the bottom are given the high performance, a very low value. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti for laptops is a mobile graphics card that is based on the Turing architecture (TU116 chip). Compared to the faster RTX 2000 GPUs (e.g. RTX 2060), the 1660Ti integrates no Raytracing or Tensor cores. The performance is similar to the old GTX 1070 (laptop) but at a reduced TGP of 80 Watt (versus 115 Watt). Compared to the desktop GTX 1660 Ti, the clock speeds are reduced (3% lower base, 10% lower boost).
The Turing generation did not only introduce raytracing for the RTX cards, but also optimized the architecture of the cores and caches. According to Nvidia the CUDA cores offer now a concurrent execution of floating point and integer operations for increased performance in compute-heavy workloads of modern games. Furthermore, the caches were reworked (new unified memory architecture with twice the cache compared to Pascal). This leads to up to 50% more instructions per clock and a 40% more power efficient usage compared to Pascal.
The power consumption of the 1660Ti for latops is specified at 80 Watt TGP (Total Graphics Power) by Nvidia and therefore 20 Watt higher than the efficient (and slower) Max-Q variant of the 1660 Ti. The TU116 chip is manufactured in 12nm FFN at TSMC.

The battery lasted for 5:24 hours in idle mode. Idle mode is simulated via Battery Eater's Reader's test using the screen's minimum brightness, enabled energy savings plan, and disabled radio modules. The load runtime is ascertained using Battery Eater's Classic test with maximum screen brightness and the "High Performance" profile. The laptop stopped the Wi-Fi test after 4:18 hours.
Websites are opened automatically every 40 seconds using the "Balanced" profile and a screen brightness of approximately 150 cd/m² in this test. We check the video playback time by running the short movie Big Buck Bunny (H.265 encoding, 1920 x 1080 pixels) in a loop.
The wireless modules are disabled and the screen's brightness is set to approximately 150 cd/m². The notebook managed a runtime of 3:48 hours.
We also tested the gaming runtime by running the in-game benchmark of the race game GRID: Autosport (1920 x 1080 pixels, Very High, 4x MSAA) in a loop. The 17-inch laptop achieved a runtime of 1:08 hours here.

Windows 10 is the Goldilocks version of Microsoft's venerable PC operating system -- a "just right" compromise between the familiar dependability of Windows 7, and the forward-looking touchscreen vision of Windows 8.
This new Windows, available as a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 noncorporate users, is built from the ground up to pursue Microsoft's vision of a unified OS that spans all devices without alienating any one platform. It's an attempt to safeguard Microsoft's crumbling software hegemony, assailed on all sides by Google and Apple. And it's a vision of the future as Microsoft sees it, where a single user experience spans every piece of technology we touch. Welcome to Windows as a service.
Yes, this new OS is chock-full of fresh features. To name just a few: a lean, fast Internet Explorer replacement called Edge; Microsoft's Siri-like voice-controlled virtual assistant, Cortana; and the ability to stream real-time games to your desktop from an Xbox One in another room. (And in case you're wondering: there is no "Windows 9" -- Microsoft skipped it, going straight from 8 to 10.)
But Windows 10 is also the end of a long, awkward road that began with the release of Windows 8 in 2012, when Microsoft tried to convince a world of keyboard and mouse wielders that touchscreens were the way to go -- or else. Ironically, in 2015, the PC hardware for that touchscreen future is now here -- everything from 2-in-1s such as the Lenovo Yoga line to convertible tablets with detachable keyboards, like Microsoft's own Surface. And Windows 10 smoothly lets users transition from "tablet" to "PC" mode on such devices like never before.
For the rest of the PC universe -- including those who still prefer good old-fashioned keyboard and mouse navigation -- Windows 10 is a welcome return to form. The Start menu, inexplicably yanked from 8, is back and working the way you expect it to. Those live tiles from the Windows 8 home screen still exist, but they've been attached to the Start menu, where they make a lot more sense. And the fiendishly hidden Charms bar has been morphed into the more straightforward (and easier to find) Action Center.
As always, there are some quibbles and gripes with the end product, but all-in-all -- after living with Windows 10 for months -- I can say it's a winner. It's flexible, adaptable and customizable. And it's been battle-tested by an army of beta testers for the better part of a year, making it one of the most robust operating system rollouts in recent memory.
A fresh Start
The Start menu is back; it's almost funny how relieving that is. That humble Start button has been a fixture on the lower left corner of the Windows desktop since the halcyon days of Windows 95, offering speedy access to apps and settings. Press it on Windows 10, and you'll see the latest step in a long conversation about the state of the PC industry.
The past sits on the left: a neat column with shortcuts to your most used apps. Press the "All Apps" button and you'll get an alphabetical list of all of the apps installed on your PC. There are folders in there too -- press them, and extra options will fly out, just like they always have.
The future -- or at least, the future as Microsoft envisions it -- sits on the right side of the Start menu. These are the colorful, animated live tiles that debuted in Windows 8, pulling double duty as app shortcuts and informative widgets. You can resize these live tiles, drag them about to arrange them into groups and pin as many apps as you'd like -- the entire Start menu can be shrunk or expanded to suit your liking. It's essentially a miniaturized version of the fullscreen Start menu we saw in Windows 8. Hate live tiles? Then unpin them to excise them from your computer, leaving you with the narrow column of frequently used apps we've known for so long.

Ich konnte mich anfangs nicht zwischen der GTX *** ti und der RTX *** entscheiden, die in einem anderen Modell verbaut war. Doch auch weil das Ding nochmal ein lüttes Batzen Geld mehr gekostet hätte, habe ich mich doch für ersteres entschieden und kann mich nicht beklagen! Läuft einwandfrei und wer einen Laptop will, der nicht so viel kostet, mit dem man aber noch einiges machen kann, der ist hiermit eigentlich gut bedient.
