The Kolink Horizon Midi-Tower offers plenty of space for high-performance gaming hardware. The mainboard tray, which is equipped with a practical cut-out for easy cooler replacement, can accommodate motherboards in mini-ITX, micro-ATX and ATX form factors. Furthermore, the chic case can accommodate graphics cards up to 345 millimeters long and CPU coolers up to 155 millimeters high and has dust-free dust filters in the lid and base for dust protection.
Up to six 120 mm fans can be installed to effectively cool the hardware. Four copies with addressable RGB lighting are already installed in the front and back, while two more can be accommodated in the lid. Radiators can also be used to cool the hardware. In order to provide a good insight into the built-in hardware, the Horizon housing has a large, tool-free removable side panel made of tinted tempered glass and another on the front of the housing. "Comet Lake-S" - This is the name of the 10th generation of Intel Core processors. The Radeon RX 6700 XT is now the fourth desktop graphics card from AMD with the new RDNA2 architecture. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
