Futuristic front, elegant design and a well thought-out layout - that's the CA300T. The massive ATX tower from our ELITE SHARK series is aimed at demanding PC enthusiasts and brings a whole range of innovations with it. Including a side-mounted, RGB-illuminated I/O panel, two side panels made of hardened glass, a hinged compartment for the cabling and a multi-layer housing top with ventilation opening, magnetic dust filter and a perforated cover. The steel front panel also impresses with its imposing, angular pattern, which is staged by three bright RGB LED fans. As befits an ELITE SHARK case, there is also an enormous amount of space inside for powerful hardware and sophisticated PC builds.
Elite steel look
The CA300T immediately catches the eye with its expressive front, in which a geometric pattern is embedded, the corners and edges of which give the case a futuristic style. The use of high-quality materials also ensures the elegant overall impression: the top of the housing is made of solid metal, and the front panel is also enclosed in a frame made of polished aluminium. Colored highlights are provided by three RGB LED fans that shine through the pattern in the front panel. Another RGB LED fan in the back also illuminates the inside. The LEDs of all fans can be specifically controlled for unique lighting effects via the software of compatible mainboards with a pin assignment of 5V-D-Coded-G or 5V-D-G.
RGB-illuminated I/O panel
A special detail of the CA300T can be found on the already impressive front. Instead of attaching the I/O panel to the top, as is usually the case, we placed it on the side. Buttons and connections are therefore particularly easy to reach when the PC is presented standing on the table. In addition to the usual connections for audio and USB, we have also given the CA300T a USB-C connection. The I/O panel is given the finishing touch by its own RGB lighting.
Constant air flow for full power
Three pre-installed RGB LED fans in the front and one in the back provide the CA300T with a constant airflow. The front panel is equipped with a mesh grid so that sufficient air can flow into the housing. The top of the case even offers a complete opening with a perforated cover for fans and radiators. The three 120 mm RGB LED fans in the front can also be replaced with larger ones with a diameter of 140 millimeters. In addition, up to 420 mm radiators can be installed in the front or up to 360 mm radiators in the top of the case.
Stylish showcase for noble components
Hardware that is allowed to move into an ELITE SHARK series case also deserves to be seen. For a full view, we have equipped the CA300T with two side panels made of hardened glass. On the left side, there is an unclouded view of the inside of the case, so that the built-in components can be showcased perfectly. On the right, on the other hand, the glass is partially tinted black so that the power supply tunnel, for example, does not spoil the look. However, SSDs with RGB elements or impressive HDDs come into their own here. Cable clutter, on the other hand, doesn't stand a chance: it can simply disappear from view behind a spacious, hinged cable compartment and a sliding cable cover. In order not to have any unnecessary elements in the field of vision, the side panels are also completely free of screws on the back or surface, as they can be quickly and easily hung in the frame of the housing with just a few movements.

After competitor AMD pushed ahead with its "Raphael" CPUs, Intel puts its 13th generation of Core i processors in the limelight. In addition to AMD's Zen 4 processors, Intel's Raptor Lake models will also have support for M.2 SSDs with PCI Express 5.0. However, the first production-ready SSDs should not appear until 2023. Good: According to Intel, Raptor Lake processors continue to work with DDR4 and newer and faster DDR5 memory - the new Intel CPUs digest models of the latter type that clock at up to 5,600 megahertz.
Compared to their predecessors of the Alder Lake generation, the Raptor Lake CPUs come with more cores, including new Gracemont E cores, higher clock speeds and, consequently, higher power consumption. The Core i7-13700K has 16 cores (8 of which are P and E cores) and 24 threads. The CPU is certified with a maximum turbo clock of 5.4 GHz.
The average Full HD frame rate has increased by seven to twelve percent across all test constellations. At the minimum frame rates, the increase is already 11 to 14 percent for Full HD. At 4K and QHD, the Raptor Lake CPUs were also able to outperform Alder Lake, but not by 14 percent.

The Samsung OEM SSD PM9A1 is made entirely of semiconductor components and uses NAND flash memory, which has high reliability and advanced technology in a small form factor. The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:
"We want to ensure that we offer developers the largest and most vibrant user base for their applications," said Satya Nadella in his opening keynote at BUILD 2015 in San Francisco. Windows 10 is now available in 190 countries and 111 languages.
The browser is really new in Windows 10: Edge replaces Internet Explorer. The new browser doesn't just have the cooler name. It is also much faster. In almost all browser benchmarks, Edge depends on IE 11 from Windows 8.1. It can almost double its pace in Mozilla's Kraken benchmark. It looks the same in Google's Octane 2.0 test. Its pace remains roughly the same in the Sunspider test and the Peacekeeper benchmark. Conclusion: When it comes to the browser speed, Windows 10 with Edge catches up a lot. In Kraken and Octane, Edge overtakes the competition, in the Sunspider he stays ahead. The old conditions are only preserved in the Peacekeeper test.
Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).
Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
