Air and water cooling options
The Enthoo 719 is predestined for the installation of a custom water cooling: A radiator in 480 or 420 format can be installed in the front, however the HDD cages can get in the way. The fans are attached to the outside of the chassis, which means that less space is lost in the interior. There is space for a 360 millimeter model with a total depth of 55 millimeters in the lid before the mainboard is superimposed on the top.

At the back, a single fan model with 140 or 120 millimeters is provided. A radiator up to 480 millimeters in size can be installed on the mainboard tray. The right side wall has numerous openings at this point to optimize the air supply. A 360 heat exchanger can be installed in the bottom of the housing. Openings for fill and drain ports, each with a diameter of 20.5 millimeters, are prepared in the lid and in the front.

PHANTEKS has also thought of classic air cooling and allows the installation of up to 15 120-millimeter fans. There is space for four 120 or three 140 models in the front, while one or 140 or 120 case fans can be installed in the rear and in the cover. There is space for four 120 mm fans on the mainboard tray and three 120 or 140 fans can be mounted on the case bottom. CPU coolers can be up to 195 millimeters high.

Processor

INTEL Core i9-10900KF, clock frequency @ 5.30 GHz, socket 1200 (LGA), code name Comet Lake-S, TDP 125W, cores 10, threads 20, base clock 3.70GHz, turbo clock 5.30GHz, memory controller Dual Channel PC4-23466U (DDR4-2933 ), CPU features Optane Memory Support, Thermal Velocity Boost (5.30GHz), Turbo Boost Max 3.0 (5.20GHz), Turbo Boost 2.0, vPro, SMT (Hyper-Threading), VT-x, VT-d, VT-x EPT, Intel 64, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX, AVX2, Idle States, EIST, Thermal Monitoring, IPT, SIPP, AES-NI, Secure Key, SGX, OS Guard, TXT, XD Bit, Boot Guard, TDP -down (95W), TDP-down frequency (3.30GHz), multiplier freely selectable, production 14nm ++ (Intel), L2 cache 2.5MB (10x 256kB), L3 cache 20MB, chipset interface DMI 3.0, 8GT / s ( PCIe 3.0 x4), PCIe-Lanes 16x (PCIe 3.0), memory max. 128GB, memory bandwidth 45.8GB / s.

With the top model, INTEL is now launching ten cores and up to 5.3 GHz. Intel Core i-10000, that means 32 different models, up to DDR4-2933 support (only for Core i9-10900 [K / F] and Core i7-10700 [K / F]), core variations from two to ten Computing hearts including HT (SMT), a new maximum limit of thermal design power (TDP) of 125 watts and a new type of boost technology, which is reserved for the top model, the Core i9-10900 (K / F). As usual with Intel (almost), the new CPUs require a new CPU socket and thus brand new mainboards.

The CPU has ten native cores, which can provide up to 20 threads via HT. The base clock is at (up to) 3.7 GHz and a special Thermal Velocity Boost enables up to 5.3 GHz single-core and up to 4.9 GHz all-core. This new type of boost is used for the first time in desktop processors and the Core i9-10900 (K / F) is the only CPU in the entire Comet Lake S portfolio that has this.

Intel's Turbo Boost Max Technology 2.0, the mode that all new core models from Comet Lake-S have, clocks up individual cores to a predetermined maximum, which is often the case with games, since these are not yet on many CPU cores are programmed. The Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 builds on this, but has one special feature: Similar to the Zen 2 processors from AMD, the Comet Lake processors generally also have individual "higher-quality" CPU cores, which one Participate higher clock frequency with the same power supply. That boost mode automatically recognizes these cores and then clocks them up again by 100 MHz.

Nobody doubted the dominant gaming performance of the Core i9-10900K in advance. With ten cores clocking at up to 5.3 GHz, this CPU logically has to deliver the best performance. But there are exceptions like Total War Three Kingdoms or The Witcher 3, which cannot do anything with more than eight cores. Then even a higher clock will not work. The performance of the Core i9-10900K in Anno 1800 is absolutely impressive. The build-up game from Ubisoft shows the best case when it comes to single-core optimization and low internal latencies in the CPU.

The good frame times of the Intel Core i9-10900K once again confirm the high gaming performance, because they are consistently very low and smooth.

ENERMAX Liqmax III ARGB 360, type internal (closed system), heat sink CPU, heat sink material copper, compatibility CPU 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066, AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, AM4, FM1 , FM2, FM2 +, radiator size 360mm, radiator thickness 27mm, radiator material aluminum, fan 3x 120mm, 500-1600rpm, 14-27dB (A), 38.23-122.5m³ / h, pump 12V, special features LED (RGB), LED control, wired remote control.

The Enermax Liqmax III 360 ARGB complete water cooling combines first-class performance with a stylish design. The CPU cooler is equipped with digitally addressable RGB LED lighting that can be synchronized via the mainboard. The three 120 RGB fans specially developed for use on radiators generate high static pressure and bright illumination.

The Enermax Liqmax III 360 ARGB complete water cooling at a glance:

Digitally addressable RGB LED lighting on CPU block and fan
360 mm aluminum radiator for maximum cooling performance
Three 120 mm ARGB fans with a static pressure of 1.98 mm H2O
Max. 122.5 m³ / h delivery volume at max. 1600 rpm
Easy handling thanks to flexible hoses with kink protection
Compatible with common AMD & Intel sockets

Even the Liqmax III RGB 240 can offer a respectable cooling performance and outperform some 240 mm models from the competition. The Liqmax III ARGB 360 goes one step further. The 360 mm radiator cools significantly better, especially when the fan speed is reduced. And there are also clear differences in the lighting effect. The regular RGB lighting with the restriction to one color at the same time is almost simple. The ARGB variant is more colorful and is just right for users who want particularly varied lighting. A clear plus is that, unlike the RGB version, a controller is included. The lighting can also be controlled independently of the mainboard.

The MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI is the flagship of the MSI performance gaming series and can also be seen as a big brother of the MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI. While the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI has exactly the same CPU power supply with 12 + 1 + 1 and 14 Smart Power Stage converters up to 60A, there are differences to the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI in other places. In addition to the carbon look on the PCH cooler and on the I / O panel cover, the MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI offers an additional, mechanical PCIe 3.0 x16 slot including a steel armor feature, which is also connected to the LGA1200 processor is connected and in this way optionally 2-way SLI or combined with all three mechanical PCIe 3.0 x16 slots even enables 3-way CrossFireX.

For storage devices, there are two M.2 M key interfaces and six native SATA 6 GBit / s sockets. Here, however, all six SATA ports are at one point and angled by 90 degrees, while two ports on the MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI are housed vertically in the lower right corner. Another difference is now two instead of just one M.2 passive cooler (M.2 Shield Frozr). For the MPG Z490 Gaming Carbon WiFi, MSI also uses the Realtek ALC1220 audio codec with nine audio capacitors including headphone amplifiers, thus forming the audio boost feature. The RGB LED lighting of the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI has been expanded compared to the MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI, because LEDs were not only installed on the chipset cooler, but also at the level of the I / O panel. But the light spectacle can also be expanded with the 4-pin RGB header, the two 3-pin ARGB connectors and the 3-pin Corsair LED header especially for Corsair devices. Up to six case fans, a CPU fan and a water pump can be connected.

The advantages of the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI compared to the MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI:

an additional PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (mechanical) including Steel Armor feature
additional accessories for RGB LED lighting
two instead of one M.2 passive cooler
the USB Type-C header works with the USB 3.2 Gen2 specification
better onboard sound
all six SATA ports are angled by 90 degrees
higher number of USB 3.2 Gen2 connections on the I / O panel

Memory

Graphic Card(s)

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity OC, 24GB GDDR6X, connections 1x HDMI 2.1, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a, chip GA102-300-A1 "Ampere", 82SM, 642mm², chip clock 1395MHz, boost: 1710MHz, memory 24GB GDDR6X, 1219MHz, 19.5Gbps (19500MHz effective), 384bit, 936GB / s, shader units / TMUs / ROPs 10496/328/112, cooling 3x axial fans (100mm), special features real-time ray tracing, ray tracing cores (82), tensor cores ( 328), NVIDIA G-Sync, NVIDIA VR-Ready, NVIDIA NVLink, NVIDIA 2-Way-SLI (NVLink), AV1 Decode, HDCP 2.3, 0dB zero fan mode, backplate, LED lighting (RGB), boost - clock overclocked (+ 15MHz) Interface PCIe 4.0 x16, computing power 35.9 TFLOPS (FP32), 561 GFLOPS (FP64), DirectX 12 Ultimate (12_2) OpenGL 4.6 OpenCL 2.0 Vulkan 1.2 Shader model 6.5.

The Geforce RTX 3090 is Nvidia's new flagship GPU. It is full of technology and is supposed to enable smooth 8K gaming with high resolution and hardware-side ray tracing on the PC.

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity relies on three fans with ZOTAC's own IceStorm 2.0 cooling system, which keeps the card very happy at full load. We recorded a maximum temperature of 81 degrees, which is a very good value. There are also numerous connections. An HDMI 2.1 port with HDCP 2.3 is also available, as well as three DisplayPort 1.4a connections, which enables resolutions up to 8K. Spectra 2.0 RGB Lighting is also on board, as is the ability to control the card using the FireStorm utility.

Merciless 10,496 are in use for the CUDA cores (RTX 3080: 8,704). If the RTX 3080 works with just 10GB GDDR6X toil a full 24GB in the RTX 3090, and that with a wider 384-bit interface, which enables the bandwidth to be increased to 936 Gbps compared to the RTX 3080.

Let's get to the games. To say it in advance: Full-HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) is a waste for this card. The RTX 3090 wants at least 1440p, better still games in UHD with all the details. No question about it, the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity is a beast. The graphics card takes everything you throw at it and turns it into beautiful PC graphics. If you never want to worry about compromising your settings again, then the card is the right choice.

However, it can only display its real performance if the rest of the hardware is suitable. That means a CPU from 2020 and a motherboard that delivers PCIe 4.0. Plus 32 GB of RAM rather than 16 GB and a monitor that displays more than 60 Hz. In addition to the graphics card, potential buyers have to face several other costs. But then you have a system that the next-gen consoles can't even begin to approach.

PSU

FTX-1200-1 Forza 1200W ATX 2.4, fan 120mm, volume 19-22dB (A), cable management fully modular, connections 1x 20/24 pin, 2x 4/8 pin ATX12V, 8x 6/8 pin PCIe , 12x SATA, 4x IDE, 1x floppy, average efficiency 92%, certificates 80 PLUS Platinum, manufacturer's guarantee ten years, number of 12V rails 1, + 3.3V, 20A + 5V, 20A + 12V 98A-12V 0.3A + 5Vsb 3A PFC active form factor ATX PS / 2 special features ErP Lot 6.

The power supply has the 80Plus Platinum certification and must therefore have an efficiency of at least 90, 94 and 91 percent at 20, 50 and 100 percent load. The housing structure differs somewhat from the usual design. The top cover, under which the fan is located, consists of a U-shape that has been perforated at the top and at one end. This "U" is not simply bent by 90 degrees on the front sides, but finely rounded without any edges. The cutouts with the connections are located on the opposite end. On the underside is the base plate on which the power supply is attached. The two sides are made of aluminum sheets, the edges of which have been completely beveled and polished. This means that there is not a single 90-degree edge on this power donor, only fine curves.
In summary, a visually elegant and high-quality design. In addition, there is a full cable management and a single powerful 12 volt rail that can be loaded up to a maximum of 98 amps.

The power supply is cooled by a 120mm fan via a temperature control. The built-in fan was barely noticeable during our test run. Regarding the fan volume, it should be noted that, as with all fans with temperature control, it is difficult to quantify the effective volume in "normal operation", at least without complex measuring methods in air-conditioned and anechoic rooms. The fan was barely audible even under full load and overload.

SSD

SAMSUNG SSD PM9A1 1TB, M.2, design Solid State Module (SSM), form factor M.2 2280, interface M.2 / M-Key (PCIe 4.0 x4), read 7000MB / s, write 5100MB / s SLC-Cached IOPS 4K read / write 1000k / 850k, memory modules 3D-NAND TLC, Samsung, 136 layers (V-NAND v6), reliability prognosis 1.5 million hours (MTBF), Samsung Elpis (S4LV003) controller, 8 channels, 1GB cache (LPDDR4), SLC cache, NVMe 1.3c protocol, data protection functions 256bit AES, TCG Opal 2.0, power consumption 0.035W (idle), 0.005W (sleep mode), special features L1.2 low-power standby.

The Samsung OEM SSD PM9A1 is made entirely of semiconductor components and uses NAND flash memory, which has high reliability and advanced technology in a small form factor. Thanks to the support of the Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) 4.0 interface standard, performance is much faster than that of SATA SSDs. A comparison of the speed makes it clear that the PM9A1 version is definitely ahead. In contrast to the 6,000 MB / s, the two previous models only offered 3,500 MB / s. This is no wonder. After all, both OEMs were equipped with PCIe 3.0 and not the latest PCIe 4.0 standard.

The Samsung PM9A1 is an M.2 SSD with PCIe 4.0 and practically the OEM counterpart to the 980 Pro.

HDD

TOSHIBA Harddisk 3TB, SATA 6Gb/s, Form factor: 3.5" • Speed: 7200rpm • Cache: 64MB • Power consumption: 6.4W (operation), 5.2W (idle) • Volume: 28dB(A) (operation), 27dB(A) (idle) • Recording process: Conventional magnetic Recording (CMR) • sectors: 4KB with emulation (512e) • Encryption: not available • Special features: not available • Warranty: two years

It was not too many years ago that the idea of a 1TB drive was almost mind-boggling. However, with the continued explosion of digital data, including large-file-size games that support hi-resolution and/or 3D graphics, HD movies, HD music (and more), the need to store that data now makes a 1TB HDD not seem all that large. Also, enterprise storage systems are experiencing similar (if not even greater) growth, so more storage capacity with fewer drives is always going to be an attractive option. Hence, the market is definitely there for ever-larger capacity HDDs.

Toshiba’s DT01ACA300 HDD is a consistent performer.  In our testing, it attained over 190MB/s sequential reads and writes for all transfer sizes of 16KB and larger, being under 190MB/s for only the smallest 1/3 of the transfer sizes. This demonstrates a high level of consistent performance.  Our testing gave us a total score that was 20% higher than other similar drives. Our PCMark Vantage HDD suite testing gave us a total score that was 10% higher than other similar drives.  In our HD Tune Pro testing, we even saw burst speeds of nearly 418MB/s, this is flash storage territory.

Toshiba’ DT01ACA300 HDD is a top-performing mechanical drive. We saw a number of benchmark results that best any of the 3TB mechanical HDDs that we have previously tested.  Note that in the PCMark Vantage testing, this HDD excelled with both Windows Media Center and Windows Photo Gallery – in other words, content creation.  Although this drive is marketed as a client HDD, we are seeing performance that should also appeal to media professionals and other content creators, and 3TB of capacity in a single drive to boot.

Software

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit, pre-installed with all necessary device drivers. Switch on and get started!

The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:

"We want to ensure that we offer developers the largest and most vibrant user base for their applications," said Satya Nadella in his opening keynote at BUILD 2015 in San Francisco. Windows 10 is now available in 190 countries and 111 languages.

The browser is really new in Windows 10: Edge replaces Internet Explorer. The new browser doesn't just have the cooler name. It is also much faster. In almost all browser benchmarks, Edge depends on IE 11 from Windows 8.1. It can almost double its pace in Mozilla's Kraken benchmark. It looks the same in Google's Octane 2.0 test. Its pace remains roughly the same in the Sunspider test and the Peacekeeper benchmark. Conclusion: When it comes to the browser speed, Windows 10 with Edge catches up a lot. In Kraken and Octane, Edge overtakes the competition, in the Sunspider he stays ahead. The old conditions are only preserved in the Peacekeeper test.

Windows start

Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).

System performance

Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.

3D performance

Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.

Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.

Its working perfectly and overall I'm happy.

I do not like the case at all though for the following reasons:

*Opening the top panel is really difficult - it took me about 30 minutes to get one of the buttons to unlock.
*For a High end pc a non-moterised front panel for where you place the CD's is awful. It also makes the most horrible noise when you are opening it and doesn't always stay down.
*Overall the case operates, looks & feels a bit cheap.

The command Centre and SoundBlaster software was also not loaded onto the system when it arrived though customer support provided the links very quickly and efficiently.

I cannot stress though how excellent the service and support is!
