The Azza Opus 809 hardly cares how it is set up. The case doesn't have classic sides, it can also be laid down. The footprint of 32 × 32 cm makes it clear that the Azza Opus 809 does not play in the SFF league. In return, however, it enables the use of commercially available components. ATX mainboards and power supply units, which are located at the very bottom of the tower, fit into the housing.
Even graphics cards can be 36 centimeters long. This is only possible with a trick for the base area. The components are arranged in a sandwich layout. The graphics card, which can be up to three slots wide, moves behind the mainboard together with two brackets for HDDs, their connections pointing upwards. “Up” is a relative term, however. Due to its symmetrical design, consisting of a uniform aluminum frame with glass elements, the Azza Opus can be rotated or laid down.
The semi-open design and layout should also ensure that each component has its own access to outside air. The air must be circulated primarily through the fans of the components. Azza was thinking more of using a compact water cooling system with a 360 mm radiator and massive power reserves. A holder for a corresponding heat exchanger is located on the "back" of the Azza Opus.

Intel itself speaks of the fastest desktop processor in the world with the new top model, the Core i9-13900K. To achieve this goal, Intel has increased clock rates up to 5.8 GHz, doubled the number of E-Cores and revised the cache system.
The Core i7-13700K(F) and the Core i5-13600K(F) are located under the Core i9-13900K(F), although Intel has doubled the number of built-in E-Cores here as well. Accordingly, the i7 has 16 cores with 24 threads and clock rates of up to 5.4 GHz (+400 MHz). The small i5 has 14 cores with 20 threads with clock rates of up to 5.1 GHz (+200 MHz). In this generation, the Axial-Tech fan design has been improved with an increased number of blades on all three fans: 13 on the main fan and 11 on the auxiliary fans. The retaining rings on the side fans have been slimmed down to allow more lateral air intake and provide better airflow through the cooling system. The main fan's additional blades and full shroud provide increased static pressure to push air directly onto the GPU heat spreader. After Hitachi and Western Digital, Seagate is now also offering a 4 terabyte model for desktop PCs. On the other hand, the manufacturer has the edge in terms of data density with 1000 GB per magnetic disk.
The rotational speed of the is only 5400 instead of 7200 revolutions per minute, as was previously the case with the Barracudas. This ensures lower power consumption, but at the expense of the transfer rates. However, Seagate compensates for this slowdown with the high data density and packs a whole terabyte onto a magnetic disk. According to the manufacturer, this corresponds to up to 340,000 data tracks on a width of around 25 millimeters. Converted, the track width is only 75 nanometers.
This requires extremely precise control of the read/write heads. To do this, Seagate uses AcuTrac technology, which constantly determines the flying height of the heads via two sensors and compensates for it with the finest temperature changes in the carrier material. In addition, Seagate uses Advanced Format technology to increase the sector size from 512 bytes to 4 kilobytes - this reduces the additional memory requirements for address and check bits, which are then available for user data.
The sequential transfer performance of the 4 TB drive from Seagate is impressive: the 3.5-inch hard drive achieves a maximum of almost 175 MB/s. In the particularly fast burst mode, in which the hard disk transfers data directly via the 64 MB buffer memory, the transfer rate even climbed to almost 250 MB/s.

The launch of Windows 10 and the associated developments are among the most important market launches in Microsoft's corporate history. Windows 10 not only brings a new version of the operating system onto the market, Windows 10 enables a new platform generation:

Microsoft already shortened the start times of Windows extremely with Windows 8. If the computer is switched off using "Shut down", it does not switch itself off, but only goes into hibernation - from which it can wake up more quickly. Even with a real Katlstart or restart, Windows 8.1 is slightly slower: However, over time, Windows remembers the files that it needs for the start: The start time is shortened with repeated starts. After ten starts, the two operating systems were almost on par with 20 seconds (Windows 10) and 22 seconds (Windows 8.1).
Windows is actually getting faster and faster the older it gets: For most components, manufacturers are releasing ever more up-to-date drivers that accelerate the hardware. Windows feels like it is getting slower and slower: This is mostly due to the fact that the autostart folder is filling up with more and more entries, more and more tools are running in the background and more and more programs that are no longer used are littering the memory. The performance tests show hardly any difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Sometimes one system is faster, sometimes the other. But all the results are so closely related - with less than three percent difference - that no difference is noticeable in practice. This also applies to tests such as Cinebench R15, which primarily check the processor performance. Even if we repeated the tests several times, nothing changed: When saving and buffering frequently used files, nothing seems to have changed between Windows 8.1 and 10. Conclusion: When it comes to hardware performance, Windows 10 is as fast as Windows 8.1 - or vice versa. So that Windows 10 stays fast, the same rules apply as always with Windows: Install the latest drivers and keep the system clean.
Windows 10 comes with the new Direct X12 3D interface. DX12 is designed to allow game programmers to use the capabilities of the GPU more efficiently. Computers with less powerful graphics cards can also benefit from this and display graphically complex games more smoothly. At the moment, the potential of DX12 can only be demonstrated using synthetic benchmarks such as the API overhead test. Conclusion: Windows 10 has the potential to accelerate games on weaker systems thanks to the DX12. But the concrete results will only show games that use DX12. The first should appear at the end of the year.
Windows 10 lays a good foundation: the hardware manufacturers have to use this to tease out a performance plus with improved drivers. Or in the case of Direct X12 game programmers who use the capabilities of the new interface in games.
