A PC with an integrated graphics card (iGPU) can be a good cost-saving solution. The prices for RAM, SSDs, and graphics cards are likely to remain high for a while – driven by the AI boom. Our computers in this APU category offer especially beginners who need or want to buy a new gaming PC right now an exciting alternative option.

Entry-level PCs

If you opt for a processor with an integrated graphics card, you can still buy a gaming PC in the price range between 1,000 and 1,500 euros in .

In short: Is an entry-level gaming PC with iGPU worth it?

An entry-level gaming PC with integrated graphics unit is ideal if you are looking for an affordable budget gaming PC and mainly play E-Sports titles, indie games, older games, or less graphics-intensive games. Instead of investing directly in an expensive graphics card, you use the processor's graphics unit and can upgrade later if needed.

  • Well suited for games like Valorant, League of Legends, Minecraft, Rocket League or Fortnite in Performance mode.
  • Particularly useful for school, studies, office, streaming, surfing and occasional gaming.
  • For current AAA games in high details, a dedicated graphics card is still the better choice.
  • Fast DDR5 RAM, ideally in Dual-Channel, and a clean overall configuration are important for gaming performance.
  • The biggest advantage: You can start affordably and add a graphics card later.

Entry-level PC with iGPU, PC without graphics card or gaming PC with graphics card?

Not every PC without a separate graphics card is automatically equally suitable for beginners. The decisive factor is whether the processor has an integrated graphics unit. In an entry-level PC with iGPU, the graphics unit in the processor takes over the image output and simple gaming tasks. A PC without graphics card can be used sensibly if your own graphics card is available. We are also happy to install your GPU.

Variant What does that mean? Advantage Restriction Suitable for
Entry-level PC with iGPU / APU The processor has an integrated graphics unit. A separate graphics card is not necessary. Affordable entry, immediately usable, upgradable later Limited gaming performance with graphically demanding games Everyday use, school, studies, office, multimedia, E-Sports and less graphics-intensive games
PC without graphics card The PC is sold or configured without a dedicated graphics card and this is retrofitted by yourself or we are happy to install your graphics card. Interesting if a graphics card is already available Without iGPU or own graphics card, no sensible gaming operation is possible Users with existing graphics card
Gaming PC with dedicated graphics card A separate graphics card takes over the graphics performance. Significantly more performance for modern games, higher details and higher resolutions Higher price and usually higher power consumption More demanding gaming, AAA games, WQHD, 4K or high graphics details

What are the differences between an entry-level PC with iGPU and a PC without graphics card?

We not only offer computers with integrated GPU as entry-level PCs. We also offer the possibility to buy a PC without graphics card. Therefore, we would like to briefly explain the difference between these two offers here.

When a PC without graphics card is purchased, we usually coordinate all other components with the graphics card that the buyer already owns. This is usually done in a detailed call or chat with our support team. The buyer has the option to send us his graphics card and we then install it properly in the case to be able to deliver a flawless device. Self-installation is also possible, but not recommended.

If the processor in an entry-level PC has an integrated graphics card, then this device also runs for years in the configuration sent by us and as a buyer you neither have to send a graphics card from your possession nor install this card yourself. But we configure the case of the entry-level devices in such a way that you always have the possibility to install an additional graphics card. But this is not a "must", but a "can" for you.

Which games run on a budget gaming PC with iGPU?

The following FPS values are realistic reference values for an entry-level PC with Ryzen 7 8700G and integrated Radeon 780M at Full HD and reduced graphics settings. The actual performance depends on RAM configuration, driver, game version, cooling and chosen settings. For the best possible iGPU performance, we recommend fast DDR5 RAM in Dual-Channel. Especially with a budget gaming PC, it is important to have realistic expectations of the gaming performance.

Game Orientation at Full HD Assessment Recommendation

What is important to us in an affordable entry-level PC?

First and foremost, the low price between 1,000 and 1,500 euros is tempting for an entry-level device. But we don't want to deliver junk or disposable solutions to our customers. That's why our entry-level PCs meet our time-honored quality standards despite the reduced price range.

Other providers of ready-made PCs use inferior cases and the cheapest power supplies for entry-level PCs. The competition often saves particularly on these components – often without clearly communicating what quality is actually installed. We rely on PC cases with good airflow, enough space for future expansions and good looks. In addition, we install power supplies with sufficient capacity buffers for later upgrades.

An entry-level user will eventually develop further and may want to play more high-performance games or use more powerful applications in the future. Our entry-level computers should bring the potential for your future development steps. Today's beginner is usually tomorrow's pro.

Which processors with iGPU do we install in the entry-level PCs?

In , we mainly rely on Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) from AMD. These are a combination of CPU and GPU. More specifically, the following models are used:

  • Ryzen 5 8500G
  • Ryzen 5 8600G
  • Ryzen 7 8700G

AMD Ryzen 5 8500G

The Ryzen 5 8500G is a 6-core/12-thread APU with a Radeon 740M iGPU (4 CUs) and combines Zen 4 and more efficient Zen 4c cores for good everyday and multimedia performance without a separate graphics card. It offers the lowest CPU and graphics performance of the three models and is well suited for office, streaming and light games.

AMD Ryzen 5 8600G

The Ryzen 5 8600G is also a 6-core/12-thread APU, but with a stronger Radeon 760M iGPU (8 CUs) and slightly higher clock rates than the 8500G, which leads to noticeably better integrated graphics and overall performance. It is the most balanced choice in the trio for all-round and light gaming systems without a graphics card.

AMD Ryzen 7 8700G

The Ryzen 7 8700G is the top model with 8 cores/16 threads and a Radeon 780M iGPU (12 CUs), which gives it the highest CPU and integrated graphics performance of the series. It is best suited for more demanding multimedia tasks and significantly stronger integrated graphics performance compared to the 8500G and 8600G models.
